Netflix has a mobile application that can be downloaded to an individuals Android or iPhone that is available in the USA, Canada, Latin America, UK and Ireland. Netflix is the worlds leading subscription service for watching movies and TV episodes on a persons phone at anywhere and anytime as long as internet service is available. Netflix has developed and currently maintains an extensive personalized video-recommendation system on file based on ratings and reviews by its customers. Netflix also offers Internet video streaming ("Watch Instantly") of selected titles to computers running Windows or Mac OS X. http://movies.netflix.com/WiHome Assessment: This website can be used as an assessment in which the student can focus on the message that the instructor would be trying to relay through this type of movie medium. Collaboration: During collaboration the group of students can bring their viewpoints from the movie to the discussion to see which ideas could be taken away. Instruction Value: The instruction value is the multiple ideas and viewpoints can be brought to the classroom and open the students mind to new possibilities.

Poll Everywhere allows you to ask a question, and audience members answer using mobile phones, twitter, or web browsers. Poll Everywhere replaces expensive proprietary audience response hardware with standard web technology. It is the easiest way to gather live responses in any venue: conferences, presentations, classrooms, radio, TV, print anywhere. Poll Everywhere is free for audiences of 40 people or less.

Assessment: This website will allow the students to have their questions or ideas looked at by a group of bias individuals, but it is limited to 40 people or less unless the students are willing to pay an additional fee. Collaboration: The students will be able to take the results from the polls and be able to compare what they believe should be the answers to the questions and what the actual results are. Instruction Value: The value of this website is the results that are received from the polls, questions, and presentations are the opinions and results from the audience without any outside influence.

A wiki is a space on the Web where you can share work and ideas, pictures and links, videos and media and anything else you can think of. Wikispace website gives the individual a visual editor and other tools to share all kinds of different subject matter for both students and teachers.

Assessment: The website allows the students to be able to share all types of information. Collaboration: The students can use this website to compare and contrast the multiple amounts of information provided to prove or disprove if the information is factual. Instruction Value: The website lets the students do their due diligence with the research that will be needed on each project. The student needs to ensure that the information that is true and factual.

YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, view and share videos. This technology can display a wide variety of video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos. Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, although some media and other organizations offer some of their material via the site. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users can upload an unlimited number of videos.

Assessment: The website allows students to view media content that the instructor has utilized in order to relay their message. Collaboration: The students can discuss their takeaways and viewponts based on the content that was displayed through this form of medium. Instruction Value: A vast array of media resources can be viewed providing the students an ever expansive library of ideas and viewpoints that the students wouldn't otherwise have contact or access.

With VoiceThread, group conversations are collected and shared in one place from anywhere in the world. All with no software to install. A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate slides and leave comments using voice, text, audio file, or video. Users can doodle while commenting and pick which comments are shown through moderation. VoiceThreads can even be embedded to show and receive comments on other websites.

Assessment: The website allows students to work on their oral presentation skills and ESL students to practice their language skills. Collaboration: The students can demonstrate their speaking abilities and then instantly receive feedback and then assess it also gives the presenter the unique opportunity to hear for themselves their own presentation. Instruction Value: Opportunity for ESL instructors a more effective way to teach the language. In addition, it can be used for instructors to work collaboratively with other teachers as a method in increasing each others' presentation levels.

The Website allows visitors to view the most often used words in current Twitter posts, called Tweets, from a global perspective or drilled-down to a local level with basic web technology. The map of the world is displayed and what is most often being tweeted when and where is only as accurate as the tweeted updates their given location.

Assessment: This website will allow students to identify and view what the hottest topics may be worldwide allowing for the instructor to assess the students' current events knowledge and awareness. Collaboration: The students will be able to discuss and possibly debate the subject topics being most tweeted. Instruction Value: The value of this website is the results of topics being tweeted and the tweeters' associated opinions being expressed through that medium. Allowing the instructor to provide a forum where the individual students' views and opinions can be shared in front of their peers without any outside influence.

www.facebook.com Facebook is a social network that allows students of all ages to communicate from all areas of the world. Originally created to connect college students, facebook is now one of the largest global networking sites. Assessment: Facebook allows collaboration and communication both publically and privately. Collaboration: Students of all ages can collaborate with each other through the various forums (wall posts, instant messages and private messages) and discuss important information regardless of what area of the world each person lives in. Instructional Value: Facebook allows communication worldwide, encourages diversity by breaking down cultural barriers and allows adult students to learn more about each classmates backgrounds, personal lives, professional lives and interests.

www.photobucket.com Photobucket is an image-sharing website that was developed in 2003. Students and instructors can find various images for creating slideshows, lesson plans and other visual reports. Assessment: photobucket can be used for assessment by allowing visual aids to describe different points of view or facts. Collaboration: Students can collaborate and use pictures to enhance visual presentations. Photobucket allows instructors and students to create visually stimulating projects. Instructional value: Photobucket allows instructors and students to cater to the visual learner and create projects and presentations that allow adults to learn through visual stimulation.

Assessment: SlideShark allows instructors and students to create powerpoint presentations on an ipad instead of a desktop or laptop. Collaboration: SlideShark allows groups to collaborate on various projects by giving the option of creating presentations through different devices. Instructional value: SlideShark is a useful tool for adult students that use different forms of technology to complete various projects.

The site has over 25,000 users. The site is broken down by subjects, grade levels and topics. Instructors can view sample lesson plans, watch a variety of series on specific topics and save their work on the actual site. Assessment: This site has hundreds of areas for instructors of students from kindergarten through the twelfth grade. There are five subjects on the site and eleven topics for instructors to choose from. The subjects are English Language Arts, Math, Science, History/Social Sciences and The Arts. The topics are Planning, Class Culture, Behavior, Engagement, Differentiation, Assessment, Collaboration, Common Core, Digital Literacy, New Teachers and Celebrating Teachers. Grade levels are broken down to K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. There is a homepage, a video section, a teacher section and workspace for instructors to save their findings. Collaboration: The mission of the Teaching Channel is to provide a place where instructors can go to find videos and other sources of inspiration for the classroom. The Teaching Channel also has a newsletter that instructors can subscribe to and featured videos during different time periods. Instructional value: Instructors can come to the Teaching Channel site to share their knowledge and to gain new perspectives on teaching various subjects. Skype is a service that allows users to communicate with peers by voice, video, and instant messaging over the Internet. Prezi is a cloud-based program that allows for exploring and sharing of ideas through a virtual medium in a storybook format. Prezi allows the user to use a feature of Zooming User Interface as the story or presentation is being told. The program allows for a zoom in and out feature. Prezi is used as platform for bridging linear and non-linear information, and as a tool for both free-form brainstorming and structured presentation. Text, images, videos and other presentation media are placed upon the canvas, and can be grouped together in frames. Users then designate the relative size and position between all presentation objects and may pan and zoom in and between these objects. For linear presentations, users can construct a prescribed navigation path. Assessment: The student can use this program vs. staying with Power Point. Collaboration: Allow all person involved to have and full and complete input. These ideas include design, video, and theme. Value: The value of this program is the student's and instructor has the ability to share ideas through a storybook, video, presentation, non-linear format.
