1. The Foundation of Education If we read many kinds of the literature at library on the foundation of education, the experts of education make the conclusion, that the foundation of education of education in the world since long long ago up to present they are as below: (4 components of education) 1. Philosophy (filsafat) comes from Greek. The person who creates philosophy we call the Philosopher. The word of philosophy comes from the word of philein (verb) and Sophia (noun) from Greek. Philein means like to think, fond of speaking. And Sophia means virtue and wisdom. The philosophy means the habits of thinking something good and useful for human being. Philosophy comes from Greek (Yunani). In this country many philosophers like Plato, Aristoteles, Anaximenes, Anaximandros, and Thales. They were born about 300 years before Christ or before the Prophet Isa Alaihis Salam was born or B.C.

Day 3 October 8, 2011

THE FOUNDATION OF EDUCATION IN THE WORLD A. Philosophy B. History C. Human Needs D. Religious

A. Philosophy Plato's ideal state was a republic with three categories of citizens: artisans, auxiliaries, and philosopher-kings, each of whom possessed distinct natures and capacities. Those proclivities, moreover, reflected a particular combination of elements within one's tripartite soul, composed of appetite, spirit, and reason. Artisans, for example, were dominated by their appetites or desires, and therefore destined to produce material goods. Auxiliaries, a class of guardians, were ruled by spirit in their souls and possessed the courage necessary to protect the state from invasion. Philosopher-kings, the leaders of the ideal state, had souls in which reason reigned over spirit and appetite, and as a result possessed the foresight and knowledge to rule wisely. In Plato's view, these rulers were not merely elite intellectuals, but moral leaders. In the just state, each class of citizen had a distinct duty to remain faithful to its determined nature and engage solely in its destined occupation. The proper management of one's soul would yield immediate happiness and well-being, and specific educational methods would cultivate this brand of spiritual and civic harmony. According to Plato, the world can be save, no quarrelling, no coup d etat, or war and colonialism if at every country has special education or professional education for the citizen. According to Plato that educational profession consist of four namely Artisant, Warior and Philosopher. Every educational professional, the students are educated as long as 10 years each.

1. Artisant Artisant means the profession job to be able to prepare the primary need people. If Indonesia this is called SANDANG PANGAN PAPAN and other daily primary needs. Example, rice, home, transportation, textile and so on. They are educated as long as 10 years. At the end of educational program they are examined. Who are the best score on very expert in his profession he is chosen to continue his education to next profession namely WARRIOR. If we compare the Plato idea in education is quite same with Indonesian final exam every year who has the best IPK he has good chance to be received at next institute.

2. Warrior Warrior is the job professional to guard the territory of mother land like ABRI in Indonesia includes TNI AD, AU, AL, POLRI, Satpam, Hansip, Anti terrorism and other guardians. At the Plato era there is no AURI. All artisants are educated as long as ten years at their job profession. They are educate expert to defend the territory of motherland from enemy let from outside or inside danger. By this educational expert profession, the situation motherland save and there is no riot , demonstration, pickpocket, terrorism and people can do their daily life and profession. At the end of education, they are examined. Who has got the best certificate and score, they are given to continue their job profession to be Philosopher.

3. Philosopher Philosopher is the top profession in the country. They are educated to be leader, manager, executive, legislative and judicative. They are expert in leader to manage people namely artisan and warrior. The philosopher is the best person to lead motherland and to manage all citizen needs. They are thinker, to think how to do best to people so there is no unrest situation, people do as they expert and there is quarreling among the people like in whole world now. Among them are war between two countries or nations the world war one and two between the group military likes American and friend and others. Nowadays in the world, there is no same and sound many struggles and wars.

According to Platos idea that teachers or lecturers are philosophers because they are educated people to anticipate the good future for the young generation. According to the philosopher that present is in the past and the future is in the present. And your future is in your hand.

Day 4 October 15, 2011

B. History If we read many literatures about education in the whole world like John S Brubachers, the history of western education (New) and Moh. Johans Mendidik dari zaman ke zaman (Jakarta), we find the education holds the role to make the people clever. By education, people can understand many things because since human beings were born, they didnt bring anything except cries. For the next life, at home parents especially mother teaches her baby many kinds of names, skill and other million names. For example, her baby is educated to speak mother language such as mama (mother), papa (father), come here, beautiful, handsome, and other life activities at home.

After the boys and girls develop and grow, he / she knows everything and he/she is clever to communicate with the environment and with his/her neighbor, friends or peer friends. After she or he were 6-7 years old, they went to schools start from elementary school, junior high school, senior high school and so on. According to history, man or sejarawan, the role of education in human life is very important.

If we study the development of the nation in the world, we find what the people of Greece is the cleverest by takdir Allah or Allah decision. In this country, there are many philosopher create the thoughts of wisdom and virtue like Plato, Aristotle, Thales and so on. After islam comes to the world by Muhammad Rasulullah the people are educated by reading and reading because Allah creates the whole world with many kinds of names. In the period, at the seven century, islam spreads to the world up to Cordova. Many moslems scientists spread up like the expert of medical doctor that is Ibnu Sina or avicena. Then it is well known like Ibnu Sina, Ibnu khaldun, Ibnu Thaima, Ibnu bathatah, etc. One of the caliphs name, al Makmum invited all the scholar cristians, hindu and other expert to come to his palace to develop to the Islamic sciences.

The result of the invention to translate to arabics so there were many kinds of sciences develop to the world. However, when the war of hundred years

between Islam and Christian and it is wellknown is Salib war, islam is knocked down when the cristian took over whole Islamic sciences and they bring it to Europe. The Islamic sciences are not suitable with Christ threw them out to Nile so the water of Nile became black because of the ink of the Islamic books and the Islamic books were suitable for Europe or Christian to bring and to translate into European languages namely English and Dutch Khroache (language). After this period, Europe held the academic sciences and people from the whole world came to study to Europe and America up to today. development of education in the world. This is the history of

We can conclude that the development of historical education for the first time in Greece then islam and now Europe and United states of America.

Day 5 October 22, 2011

C. Human Needs Why does a baby cry at born? Because:

1. The future is uncertain for him and it is very difficult. According to Bolk, the philosopher, the baby wants to go back to his mothers womb again because as long as he is there, he is happy. He sleeps all day long without having to do number one, number two. Often the question arises why newborns cry that is identical with sadness instead of laughter is a sign of mirth? Those ancient Philosophy even make crying babies as a sign of the struggle of life that will be not easy to do.

2. According to medical doctor, it is the sign that the baby is safe and sound or healthy. All mothers giving birth would be happy and feel the pain disappeared when she heard the baby is born crying. It also could be an indicator that the baby has been born into the world are safe. As is known by everyone that the baby can only communicate with his parents only through crying, because it is a baby's cry is heard at birth is one form of communication from the baby. During the live baby in the womb environment and there road that connects the heart and lungs to help the baby get the nutrients from the mother's blood.

When a new baby is born, the baby took a breath for the first time through changes in blood circulation and with tears helped pave the circulation to deliver oxygen through the lungs. The crying in babies they help open his lungs in order to inhale oxygen. And pat gently on the back of the baby's body is useful to encourage the baby to do the breathing air. In addition, crying is one way babies communicate. 3. The baby doesnt bring anything except cries. Therefore, he is educated by parents. All are educated to baby up to seven years at home, then he is handed to school to learn all sciences by all kinds of teachers.

4. All things on the world have name.

5. Human beings are long aging, or the age of human beings is long. Therefore, it is quite different with animal. Animal is not important to be educated because animal lives by its instinct. The baby of animal doesnt know its parents, like prawn after bearing directly to the seas. Fishes is not educated by the parents because the instincts automatically teach them to swim.

D. Religion There are five religions which are admitted in Indonesia, they are Islam, Christian, catholic, budha, hindu, and kong hu chu. Every religion basically

teaches about wisdom. In Islam it isimplicitly placed on the enclosure of Quran in the surah Asy-Syuura 43:13

He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, (Muhammad), and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back (to Him).

Asy-Syuura 43:13 explains directly about religion from Allah are revealed to Abraham/ Ibrahim,an Moses/Musa, and Isa; therefore we can say the religion here; Judas as the religion name of Moses/ musa Prophet. Abraham the older sequence if

we try to compare with Moses/ Musa is going to be the same. Christian as the Yesus religion but here we talk about Isa because today Christian is more popular with Yesus, but here we are going to get on Isa as the Prophet. Genesis and the Quran, as it mention the Great Flood and the story of Noah/Nuh, that was also mentioned in the Old Testament. Semitic origins as Judaism and Christianity, found their origins in the Jewish populations

Day 6 October 29, 2011 Homo Educandum et Homo Educandus According to the anthropology , human beings consist of: A. Homo Educandum B. Homo Educandus

Homo Educandum comes from the word of Homo and educato. Homo means human being or Homo Erectur and educere (verb). Educere means to pull out from the beneath the potentiality or fitrah namely the potentiality, talent or gifted from parents. The children of Martin Kallikak are all the scientists or pass the university because he and his wife are the genius persoa with IQ > 140 And other parents consist of IQ < 70, so the children of these parents only passed elementary school. Both IQ is moron, IQ < 20. In Education there are two groups of human beings or Homomeganthropus: HomoEducandum and HomoEducandus. These two groups human beings come from the sentence of Greek. HomoEducandum is a person in growth and development from the fetus period up to 21 years old; exception among them are married. Fetus (Latin, Greek) means embryo or in Indonesia Janin.

Homo Educandus is a person has been to adult or has been married or to parents or to be teacher because his job at school or after graduation from educational faculty or university.

And now why Homo Educandus must educate? He feels responsibility for the young generation as the continuous generation. All religions especially Islam teaches to its believers to be good and to obey to Gods command because Allah says: God will hang up the believers belief in God and good performance (beramal shaleh). Homo Educandum has Gods trust to apply to his life and then here after God will ask him.

Homo Educandus feels that he is responsibility to young generation for his good future. Homo Educandus as teacher or parents or leader anticipate the good future the young generation. Homo Educandus enlarge the academic horizon of young generation. Homo Educandus is conscious that the society is always change. Because of the education and the technology never stops development. The future is in the present, so Homo Educandus ought to educate Homo Educandum.

Day 7 Human as Homo Educandum Humans are creatures who need an education or "Homo Educandum". Humans are viewed as Homo Educandum beings should be educated, because according to this aspect of human categorized as "animal educabil" a countryman of animals that can be educated, while the animals other than humans can only be done dressur (exercise) that can do something that is static (no changed).

The need for humans to be educated first in my opinion should be viewed from two aspects in terms of education as follows: "First from the point of view of society and the second from an individual point of view. From the point of view of public education means that cultural inheritance from older generations to younger generations, so that it remains sustainable community living. Or in other words, society has a culture that values like transmitted from generation to generation so that the community identity preserved ". From an individual point of view, education means the development potential of buried and hidden. Such reasonable potential, the potential for language, the potential of religion and so on. Potential must be cultivated and developed to be used with the best. Viewed from the standpoint both of the above, then humans should all be educated, because without education cultural inheritance and development of human potential cant be done completely. In the holy book the Qur'an referred to as Ahsanu taqwim human, which means the best of shape, and among the creatures of God is man's best events. Especially the most important for humans that set it apart from animals is that humans have a sense

Thinking is a vital potential of human beings. Humans as Homo sapiens, Symbolicum Animal, Animal Rationale, and as Hayawatunatiq. Human potential that is innate "sense" which became the principal basis for the development of "Needs for Achievement". For example: psychologists interpret the behavior of the baby crying at birth and were born into this earth is connected with the sense and direction of development potential. Another example: every time we work obligations such as prayer five times a day but it was prayer, not able to stem the behavior of others to not make a moral acts or acts that violate God's law. So the value of prayer had done nothing more than mere ritual practices.

1. HomoEducandum HomoEducandum is a person in growth and development. He needs the helping from others. According to Elizabeth B. Hurlock in her book The Developmental Psychology, that the growth and development of

HomoEducandum begins from fetus and is well known as embryo. At the below we study the growth and development of HomoEducandum or man as a whole. A. The conception period : up to 200 days in mothers stomach. As long as 280 days all human in the world their life begin at mothers stomach namely in capsule. Embro come from egg and spermatozoide meet in mothers uterus (rahim). The growth and development of this embryo begins from blood ( 3 months), flesh ( 3 months and complete embryo 3 months and 10 days). This embryo in condition sleeping and his food from his mother by means of blood streaming. If mother in her pregnant eats complete nutrition so the embryo is growth and development perfectly.

B. The Neonatal or New Born up 15 days : Orok (Indonesia) If the neonatal or orok is healthy and there is no extraordinary he cries. The baby cries according to medical doctor it is the sign healthy and sound and no blind, no doubt. According to philosopher of Bolk, the baby is fear to face the future of his life because of as long as in mothers stomach he is in condition asleep and he cant do anything. But after bearing he feels ill and his future is dark, therefore he cries loudly in order that his another takes pity on him, and then put into mothers uterus. In Islam the first stimulus stimulate the baby is the sound of Adzan (boy) or Iqamah (girl).

C. The Period : Forth night up to 1,5 years. In the rest of life baby, he needs all his primary needs from his parents including to do member two, drink, eat, sleep, speak, to take a bath, good service and merciful and pay attention. All his skill he gets from imitating includes to gesture performance and his personality. According to psychology and sociology, the developing of baby by imitating or imitation.

D. The Child : 1,5 7 years As long as child period his growth and development are perfect like human. In this period he learns from his parents and he begins to be HomoEducandum after 4 years old he enters to play group then to kindergarten where he is seven years old he enters to elementary school. E. School Period : 7 13 years This period is becoming formal Educandum, because he is just getting formal education at elementary school or primary school. At this learns many kinds skill science, according to curriculum and guide books from government. F. The Puberty Period : 13 15 years Puberty comes from the word of pubes means begins to big child. At this body just grown some or many kinds of feathers among them hairs become fully grows, the legs feathers, moustache, beard, the armpit feathers and between of two tights. The girls begins menstruation and boy begins to dream and wet (and also girl). He begins attract to another gender or heterosexual interest. He likes to make up, gets full dress and contrast and show his/her performance or behavior. G. The Youth Period : 15 18 years This period the youth has the growth and development is better than before because of the development of his mind and consciousness to his own as young people. He begins to pay attention to his development like the surrounding. H. The Last Youth Period : 18 21 years In this period the youth his development begins to subjective, means he pays attention to himself, therefore sometimes he is egoistic or he is important to himself, without attention to the surrounding.

I. Adult Period : 21 to die. This period in his growth has been complete like others adult, but in his minds he has two attitudes namely subjective and objective. These attitudes depend on the surrounding situation and his emotions or his private condition. Example: when he is happy or good condition his attitude to be objective, he can understand to others and he can receive the condition. But when his condition is not good or emotion or angry to family, his attitude to surrounding to be subjective, like on the bus. He doesnt want to give facilitation to the old adult or he pretend not pay attention to other and so on. Everybody is different his character and it depends to the situation, condition and his mind (psycho)

Day 9 November 19, 2011 MID SEMESTER EXAM 2011/2012

MATA KULIAH DOSEN NAMA SEMESTER/ ANGKATAN NIM HARI/TANGGAL TH AKADEMIK PROG. STUDI

: PRINCIPLE OF EDUCATION : PROF. DR. H. AMINUDDIN : TEGUH EKO SETIO : 1/X : 1108066041 : SABTU, 19 NOVEMBER 2011 : 2011/2012 : PEND. BAHASA INGGRIS

1. What is the based on the foundation of education for human beings to educate people in the whole world since along long time ago up to present?

The base on the foundation of education for human beings to educate people in the whole world since long time ago up to present are: a. Philosophy It comes from Greek word philein (verb) and sophia (noun). Philein means like to think, fond of speaking; while sophia means virtue or wisdom. Therefore, philosophy means the habits of thinking something good and useful for human beings. Many philosopher born in Greek, such as Plato, Aristoteles, Anagimenes, Anaxamandros, and Theles. They were born in about 300 years BC.

b. History If we study literature about human beings since the prophet Adam a.s. up to now, people never loss from education; at home, at the society, or anywhere. The prophet Adam a.s. was the first human being in the the earth, and God created his wife named Hawa. Adam was taught by God in the paradise about all names of things in the world, because Adam a.s. as the figure of leader in the world must be smart to manage this nature with all its contents. After

human beings (Adams children) spread to all places, they all learn from their parents, from grandparents up to nowadays.

c. Human Needs Babies were born to the world with nothing, except cries. Day by day, babies come to be more mature; become child, teenager, and adult. Along with the growth, human needs also increase. Babies only drink milk; later, they become children who need rice. Next, they become teenagers who need not only food but also knowledge. They need to study at schools not only at home. They also need transportation. The next stage, again they come to be more mature, thai is, adult. They need much more than teenagers. They need position in society and power. In this case, in order to obtain all the needs, human develop their education. In brief, education develops because of the development of human needs.

d. Religion Religion comes from God. A religion educates goodness to the believers. In this case, Islam educates muslims to learn it seriously. By this concept, God gave prophet Muhammad SAW the first revelation (wahyu) saying read, read, and read in surah Al Alaq. Read with the name of your God who creates; God has created human beings from blood; Read, and your God is the most soft-touch; Who teaches human beings through the medium of kalam; God teaches human beings what they do not know. According to Islam, all human beings must be educated from birth to die. It is called the concept of life-long education. Religion educates the believers to reach paradise. For that purpose, human beings must read the Al-Quran as the source of education from God. 2. What is the Platos concept on education, in order the people life harmoncus, so there is no coup de etat

The Platos concepts of education, in order the people live harmoniously, so that there is no quorelling among them and there is no coup detat.

According to Plato, the society must consist of Artisants, Wariors, and Philosophers. a) Artisants They are groups of society consisting of men. They have the ability to prepare the primary needs, such as home, rice, meat, fish, and the other humans food. They are workers, peasants, sailors, labors, merchants, etc. They ought to be educated as long as 10 years to be experts for human needs in the world. At the end of education, they are tested with an examination. Those who pass the exam, have good chance to continue to the second experts, namely Wariors.

b) Wariors They are groups of citizen who are expert in guarding of motherland territory. In Indonesia, we have ABRI, Policemen, Hansip, etc. They are educated for ten years to be experts of gurdian because to love the motherland is part of believe in God. They are educated to be professional army in order to save the nation from outside and inside threats, such as terrorists and enemies. At the end of academic year, they follow the examination. Those who get good score and performance will be elected to contonue to study in the next level, that is, Philosophers. c) Philosphers They are persons who like to think and to meet the virtue, wisdom, and goodness in life. In Islam, it is called tahanuts like the prophet Muhammad Saw at Hiro cave. According to Plato, someone who is the best at final exam may continue their study to philosophy academy. They are taught to be a leader, a manager, and to be the best persons who are able to lead the aristants and wariors.

3. Why every adult must educate children to be homo Educandus:

Because in the future every childis going to be an adult too. They will be homo Educandus, that is a person has been to adult or has been married or to parents or to be teacher because his job at school or after graduation from educational faculty or university. They must be taught about the responsibilities of homo Educandus as they are the next homo Educandus. Homo Educandus must teach because:

a) All religions especially Islam teaches to its believers to be good and to obey to Gods command because Allah says: God will hang up the believers belief in God and good performance (beramal shaleh). b) Homo Educandus has Gods trust to apply to his life and then here after God will ask him. c) Homo Educandus feels that he is responsibility to young generation for his good future. d) Homo Educandus as teacher or parents or leader anticipate the good future the young generation. e) Homo Educandus enlarge the academic horizon of young generation. f) Homo Educandus is conscious that the society is always change.

g) Because of the education and the technology never stops development. h) The future is in the present, so homo Educandus ought to educate homo Educandum. i) God will promote the quality of person who has knowledge and use the knowledge for good purposes. j) In the future when children become homo Educandus, they will be caliphs or leaders on the world.

4. Why must children education both at home a school or to be homo Educandum? The reason why children must be educated both at home and at school or to be homo Educandum (a person in growth and development):

a. Homo Educandum is complete education result for human. Children have many ways to acquire it can be formal education by school, informal education by indirect learning such children from experience, and informal education by learning outside of class. Day 11 December 3, 2011

The role input in education Education in its broadest, general sense is the means through which the aims and habits of a group of people lives on from one generation to the next. Generally, it occurs through any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts. In its narrow, technical sense, education is the formal process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills, customs and values from one generation to another. Education is the growing demands in the lives of children, while the mean, education is guided all the powers of nature that exist in children, and that they as human beings and as members of the public safety and happiness it can be reached at the highest

Objective Factors. In the Law No. 2 of 1989 clearly stated goal of National Education, which is "Feeding the life of the nation and develop a complete Indonesian man, the man of faith and piety towards God Almighty and noble character, has knowledge and skills, physical and spiritual health , mantap and independent personality and a sense of civic responsibility and nationality. "

Indeed factors for educational purposes are: a. As the Direction of Education, the goal will indicate the direction of a business, while the direction indicates the path that must be taken of the present situation to the next situation. b. Goal as the end point, a business must have a beginning and an end. There may be efforts stalled because of a failure to achieve the goal, but the effort can not be said to be over. In general, an attempt is said to terminate if the goal has finally been reached. c. Objectives as a starting point to achieve other goals, if the goal is the end point of the business, then this is the basic starting point, in the sense that it is the fundamental basis of the pedestal the beginning of each business. d. Giving value to the work done

Ki Hajar Dewantara been much thinking on the issue of character education. Sharpen intelligence really good reason, because it can build a good and solid budipekerti, to be able to realize the personality (persoonlijkhheid) and character (law berasas soul mysticism). If that happens people will always be able to beat the passion and character, temperament of the original (violent, angry, grumpy, stingy, hard, etc.) (Ki Hajar Dewantara the Noble Assembly of the Union Tamansiswa: 1977) Furthermore, Ki Hajar Dewantara said, called "budipekerti" or a character or in a foreign language is called "character" that is "round the human soul" as the soul of the "law berasas mysticism". People who have intelligence budipekerti always thought about it and feel-feel and always wears a size, weight, and the foundations of a definite and fixed. That is why people can we know with certainty their character; namely because it's character or budipekerti fixed and definite.

Budipekerti, character, or characters, meaningful unification movement of thought, feeling, and the will or the will, which lead to power. Know that "mind" that means thoughts - feelings - the will, is "character" that means "power". So "budipekerti" that the human soul in nature, ranging up to wishful thinking as a power incarnate. With "budipekerti" that each human being stands as a free man (impersonal), which can govern or control themselves (self, zelfbeheersching). This is a civilized human being and that is the intent and purpose of education. So here is manifest that education is power to beat the basics of the human soul, both in terms of the basics to eliminate evil and can indeed be eliminated, nor in the sense of "naturaliseeren" (cover, reduce) the nature, evil nature of "biological" or that can not be disappeared altogether, because it is united with the soul.

Ki Hajar Dewantara further said that; Education is a business culture that aims to give guidance in the life of soul and body growth of children to be in the nature of his personal as well as the influence lingkunganannya, they make progress toward the inner and outer civilized humanity (Ki Suratman, 1987: 12). Civilized human being in question is the highest level that can be achieved by developing human during his lifetime. This means that in pursuit of one's personality or character of a person, then the civilized humanity is the highest level. From the definition of education is that there are two key phrases: "the growing child's soul" and "born-inner child's progress". Of the two key phrases can be interpreted that the human existence and Rokhani or tangible physical body and soul. The meaning of life in the nation's

culture includes "understand, ngrasa, Ian nglakoni" (copyright, taste, and intention). When used in psychological terms, there is conformity with aspects or domains of cognitive, emotional domains, and psychomotor domains or conative. Ki Hajar Dewantara further confirms that education is a guide in the growth of children's lives. This means that the growth of children's lives that lies outside the skills or the will of the educator. Child as a creature, as human beings, as living things live and grow is manifest by its very nature. As stipulated in advance, then what the natural forces that exist in no other child is all the strength in the inner life and the lives of children born from it, which exists because the power of nature. The educator can only lead the growth or life forces that, in order to improve his behavior (not essentially) the life and growth. From conception it can be concluded that Ki Hajar Dewantara want; a) placing students at the center of education, b) see education as a process which thus is dynamic, and c) give priority to the balance between creativity, taste, and intention in the child.

Thus education is meant by Ki Hajar Dewantara attention to balance creativity, taste, and the intention is not simply a process of knowledge transfer or the transfer of knowledge alone, but at the same education as well as the transformation process (transformation of value). In other words, education is the process of formation of human character to be really a human right. Ki Hajar Dewantara outlook on education, shows us that the distant days of Ki Hajar Dewantara have a high commitment to shape the character of the nation through education. Unfortunately only on education pekembangannya actually lose the spirit and enthusiasm, so it stuck on the achievement of a narrow target, so that the nation's embodiments of good character to be ignored.

The role input in education In educations there are three inputs in education. These inputs give influence to the development of some, especially the students at school. They are: raw input, environment input, and instrumental input. 1. The Raw input The raw input is something bringing with one from his ancestor or parents. This input consists of talent, gifted, the fitrah (Islam) and the potentiality. If his parents or ancestor has good quality in the intellectual, intelligence quotient and brain, so he will be good person the quality. According to the theory NATIVISM by Arthur Schopenhauer, that everybody in his life depends on the quality from his parents or ancestor. In America, there is the result of research namely the family of Martin Kallikah. Martin Kallikahs ancestor, the genuine, so all his generation are genius, there is no one whose education has certificate the middle high school, but all this generation get the certificate scholar namely master and doctor program. This research opens that the role of the chromosomes of parents give effect to the quality. This research is suitable with the law of Mendel at the biology that everyone has 23 pairs of chromosome. When man and girl are married and everyone has good quality of chromosome, so his child trend to be like his parents. Nativism, comes from the word of NATAL, MILAD means kelahiran or born. The traits of good raw input, we can find in daily performance, among them are creative, high IQ or intelligence quotient above 120. According the formula of IQ is = MA/CA x 100 (MA= Mental Age, CA= Calender age). If MA > CA it is weight IQ> 120. We can study this IQ in psychology. And upstairs down, if the ancestor or parents are the best one or alias has IQ>80, it is exactly feble minded or moron or not clever. This theory is very important for teacher in education as the sign of the quality of students. Sometimes we can watch the result of evaluation in the rapports students. All teachers ought to be careful in learning instruction process in the class room. This theory is the same with Muhammad tradition or Hadits said:

2. The environmental input The environmental input means the environment or milieu is all or something beside someone near or far give influence much or little. Everyone in his daily life is not separated to enviromnet. Environment can be human beings, animals, wood, situation, water, climatology, market, interaction, and so on. Nowadays, all people in the world just understood well the influence of environmental namely global hotness to the human everywhere in the world among them are the mirror home, the cutting wood, and the wood burning or opening the wood to be plantation. In education the environment are teachers, curriculum, students libarary, or books, the rule of school and so on. We can understand the between different of rural situation and city situation. In the great city like Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandiung, Medan, New York, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur there are many super markets or malls and others attractive objects like hotels, the recreations and so on. If the school can create the good environment for the students, so its influence give the input to the students. For example, discipline, homework the situation of place the school , beside market or far from the business traffics. This input is well known in the theory of John Loche, namely everybody when was bombing nothing with him excep cry or baby cry. Because of some brings nothing with him, so the role of environment is very great to him. According to the psychology that human being is very like to photocopy or mencontoh environment in daily life. Nowadays the influence of internet or dunia maya, television, and website. This theory environmental in put gives the remembering or peringatan to all educational institution in order give good condition the students. Now we are consciousness the right of this theory on the students quarrelling between the religions school example between tsanawiyah students and tsanawiyah students, it is because of the influence of the role religious education input.

Day 14 December 24, 2011

3. Instrumental Input Instrumental input is the input to the students by using some kinds of equipment and tool to instruct the subject matter in order the students can get and understand will what the teacher make the teaching learning process. According to the pedagogical theory that instrumental input is the good or best processing teaching learning using the many kinds of instructional methodology. Methodologies from the Greek namely Metha, Hodos, and Logos.

Metha means very far, Hodos is the way and logos means the science or ilmu (Arabic). Then methodology means the way for achieving the far destination. According the academic philosophy that for achievement of students achiever, teacher ought to use many kinds of way to make students to be intelligent and clever in many subjects.

Instructional methodology is the equipment of the teacher uses for instrumental in put among them are: a. Method of preaching b. Method of discussion c. Method of homework d. Method of study tour e. Method of seminar f. Method of progressive g. Method of regressive h. Method of recitation i. j. Method of global on the whole Method of parts

In English learning, we know method of listening, method of comprehension. The matter of the good result of instruction depends of the teachers performance in the front of the class include gestures and teachers face. By means of teachers

performance the students are interesting to follow learning teaching in the class or Ki Hajar Dewantara said: guru is digugu and ditiru ing madya mangun karso ing ngarso sung tulodo

William Sterm combines all in puuts into convergerence, so he is well known as the theoreticus in input with the convegerent theory. Convegerent theory combines all in puts to be mutual work the input. The theory of convengerent of William Sterm like as below: raw input

Instrumental input In daily life of someone or students perform is not the same development or achievement in learning teaching process because of depending of the quality of raw input, the environmental input and the instrumental input. In this case teacher ought to be careful to observe or to watch the quality in the classroom.

Day 15 December 31, 2011 TEACHERS JOB OR DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY IN EDUCATION When we analyze the duty and responsibility of teacher in education we can analyze from the aspects of: 1. The message of God 2. The profession job or academic profession 3. The duty of society 4. The devotion to the nation mother land 5. The calling of deepest inner state

What is the job? The job or duty is an obligation on something to do, so that obligation can be done well and give the best result to people in this case is the students. Duty is obligation or something to do in this case especially in education is the instruction by the profession expert to make the students to be skill and mastery of the subject matter.

What is the responsibility? Responsibility is the duty of each person to try to understand what the command is to act dissident or duty of group to share in community or educational instruction and relationship to the welfare of individual or group. In this case guide to educate and to lead students get clever and to be good young generation for the future.

The message of God As a Moslem will believe in God that our duty and job in the field of education are our responsibility because all are we have that are coming from God, because of human beings are the God creatures and next the hereafter will be asked by God. Muhammad the messenger of God said in one Muhammadan tradition or hadits like below: Everybody has been responsibility and next will be asked about it. God solutes well to a person has science and will hang him up to the top when he Believes in God. Allah said in Surah Mujjadillah as below:

O you who believe! When you are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room. Allah will give you (ample) room (from His Mercy). And when you are told to rise up [for prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause), or for any other good deed], rise up. Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge. And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

Nowadays there is no progression without education because education makes people understand all.
