Regrets script

INT. AGATHAS LIVING ROOM EARLY EVENING. AGATHA, (60) sits in her living room with a hand-held mirror in her hand facing outwards. The whole room is dark except for a light. GRANDMOTHER Circle of reflection. Circle of protection. May the sender of all harm, Feel the power of this charm. Lights are seen shooting from the mirror. DISSOLVE TO: INT. DYLANS HALLWAY EARLY EVENING. DYLAN, (15) enters his home clutching his head. He throws his bag on the floor and slams the door behind him. He then squats down with his back against the wall. DYLAN Argh! Why does this keep happening? DYLAN stands up and walks into the living room. INT. DYLANS LIVING ROOM EARLY EVENING. DYLAN enters and stands over his father ALAN, (42). ALAN is sleeping on the sofa. DYLAN Dad? ALAN wakes up. ALAN Not now son, go away. ALAN shoos DYLAN away and goes back to sleep. SNORING is heard as DYLAN leaves the room. DYLAN runs upstairs. INT. DYLANS BEDROOM EARLY EVENING. DYLAN is crying on his bed. He starts rocking forwards and backwards with his head in his hands. DYLAN I hate this. I hate this so much. Why does no one listen to me?

SWITCH TO: INT. AGATHAS LIVING ROOM EARLY EVENING. AGATHA is looking into her mystic snow globe that allows her to enter DYLANS mind. Everything is dark and silent. AGATHA Go to your draw. The one by your wardrobe. NOW. SWITCH TO: INT. DYLANS BEDROOM EARLY EVENING. DYLAN is still tucked up with his head on his knees. He grabs his head noticing the voice. He appears to be in pain and confused. DYLAN What? AGATHAS VOICE is heard in DYLANS bedroom. AGATHA Go to your draw and open it. DYLAN Why? Whats in there? AGATHA Do it Dylan. Do it now. DYLAN gets up and walks over to the draw in the corner of his room. He stands there for a second before slowly opening the door. There is a gun in the draw. DYLAN picks it up and turns round. He becomes scared. DYLAN What is this doing in here? Why is there a gun in my room? AGATHA Have fun Dylan. DYLAN What is that supposed to mean? What are you doing to me?

DYLAN falls to the floor with the gun in his hand. He throws it across the room. He then sits up and reaches for his mobile phone. He starts to write a text. DYLANS TEXT Hi. I need to see you. Somethings happened. Dont know what to do. Text back x DYLAN puts the phone down and stares at the gun on the other side of the room. The front door BANGS. AGATHA is heard talking. DYLAN gets up off the floor and runs towards the gun. He picks it up and hides it back in the draw. He then heads towards the stairs. SWITCH TO: INT. DYLANS LIVING ROOM EVENING. AGATHA and ALAN are sitting on the sofa talking about ERIKA, (41). AGATHA I never understood why she was always so angry with me. I didnt do anything wrong. ALAN You know what you done to her. That was your daughter Agatha! DYLAN enters the room after hearing the conversation. DYLAN What are you talking about? ALAN Youll soon find out son. Dont worry for now. AGATHA He doesnt need to know, he hadnt been born. Doesnt concern him. DYLAN I want to know? It

involves my mother! DYLANS mobile phone starts ringing. DYLAN Forget it, Ill find out someday! DYLAN answers his phone whilst walking out of the living room. Its JOSH. DYLAN Hello? SPLIT SCREEN TO: DYLAN INT. DYLANS HALLWAY EVENING. JOSH EXT. OUTSIDE DYLANS HOUSE EVENING. DYLAN is sitting on the stairs on the phone, whilst JOSH is shown standing outside DYLANS house also on the phone. JOSH Hurry up! Weve been out here for ages. We said 6pm remember. Its now 8pm. DYLAN Yeah, sorry about that. Something come up. Ill be out in a second. DYLAN hangs up the phone and runs upstairs. SWITCH TO: INT. DYLANS BEDROOM EVENING. DYLAN gets changed and looks at the draw containing the gun. He grabs a bag and puts the gun inside. He looks around before taking a deep breath and switching off his light. SWITCH TO: INT. DYLANS HALLWAY EVENING. ALAN and AGATHA are still arguing between themselves as DYLAN goes to leave. DYLAN shouts through to the living room. DYLAN Bye! AGATHA

Be good tonight, wont you. DYLAN Sure. DYLAN opens the front door and leaves. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. OUTSIDE DYLANS HOUSE EVENING. DYLAN is greeted by JOSH and RYAN. They do their handshake. JOSH What has been going on with you? DYLAN You wouldnt believe me if I told you. It has been insane. They begin to walk down the road. RYAN Try us! We wont know unless you tell us. DYLAN Would you believe me if I told you I found a gun in my draw today? RYAN and JOSH look at each other in confusion. JOSH Dylan what are you talking about? DYLAN Look! I promise you. DYLAN reaches into his bag and takes out the gun. DYLAN See! JOSH Put that away before someone sees you! DYLAN

Well you wanted to know, and there you go. RYAN We didnt mean do that in public. Come on we need to get to this party. DYLAN puts the gun back in his bag and they carry on walking. RYAN What else is wrong? Youve been acting weird the past few days. DYLAN Its nothing. Just been getting a few headaches here and there. Ill be fine. JOSH You best be! Were going to party hard tonight. Okay! RYAN Well here we are anyway. Its over there. RYAN points to a door with a large group of people standing outside. A couple of people are already drunk and falling about. SCREAMS can be heard coming from the drunken crowd. JOSH Make you keep your new toy in your bag and out of sight at all times, you hear me? We dont want no trouble. RYAN Enough about that. Lets not talk about it anymore. Come on. DYLAN, RYAN and JOSH all walk over to the party and greet the crowd of party-goers. They then go inside the house. FOLLOW TO:

INT. THE PARTY EVENING. The boys walk into the party crowded with drunken teenagers. They separate and DYLAN sits down on a chair in the middle of the room. LOLA walks up behind him and taps him on the shoulder. LOLA Hello stranger. DYLAN Oh my, hello! Havent seen you in so long. Didnt know you was here. LOLA Been avoiding me ay? DYLAN Of course not! Just been busy. LOLA Yeah, I got your text. Are you okay? SWITCH TO: INT. AGATHAS LIVING ROOM EVENING. AGATHA looks into her mystic snow globe and sees DYLAN talking to LOLA. She isnt happy with what she sees and walks over to her spell book. AGATHA shakes her globe with a smile and puts it on the side.
