HMT was established in 1953 in technical

collaboration with M/sOerlikon of Switerzland. Over the years diversified into Watches ,Tractors ,Printing machinery ,Metal forming presses ,Die casting & Processing machinery,CNC systems & Bearings. Today ,HMT comprises five subsidiaries under the ambit of a Holding Company ,also manages the Tracter Business directly.

HMTs tractor project commenced its operation from

Pinjore in june 1971. This unit is the main unit today fully integrated with foundry,manufacturing,assembly and testing facilities for 20000 tractors & engines. Beside ,assembly unit at Hyderabad. The tractor unit is certified with ISO 9001 Quality Standards.

The tractor division of HMT consists of various shops which are: 1.Heavy machine shop 2.Light machine shop 3.Heat treatment shop 4.Engine shop 5.New engine shop 6.Engine assembly shop 7.Engine testing shop 8.Tractor assembly

ENGINE ASSEMBLY SHOP

1.Crankcase is mounted on rolling convey

2.Crankcase cap is opened

3.Main bearing is fitted and thrust washer is fitted in cap.

4.Crankshaft is mounted

5.Camshaft is mounted

6.Timing gears are fitted

7.Piston & connecting rods are assembled and fitted

8.Lubrication pump &oil filter are fitted 9. Gasket are placed and metal covers are fitted

10.Dual clutch is fitted.

11.Cylinder head is fitted.

12.Coolent pump &belt pulley are fitted.

13.Inlet manifold &exhaust flange are fitted.

14.Tapet &push rod are fitted.

15.Rocker arm is fitted

16.Injector is mounted over cylinder head & clamped to injector pin.

17.Dynamo &fuel filter is fitted.

18.F.I.P. is fitted &its timing is set.
