Today's Charter: Group Discussion (GD)

Group discussions are used in the selection process to evaluate candidates' interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team. They involve forming candidates into leaderless groups to analyze and discuss a given topic within a time limit. Evaluators assess candidates on communication skills, group behavior, leadership potential, and out-of-the-box thinking. Strong communication skills like active listening, clear expression, and appropriate body language and language usage are important. Candidates should demonstrate good team skills through consistent participation, time sharing, and maintaining objectivity. Proper group discussion etiquette involves initiating discussion, sharing air time fairly, and avoiding domination or silence.
