INTRODUCTION
A supply chain is the stream of processes of moving goods from the customer order through the raw materials stage, supply, production, and distribution of products to
the customer. All organizations have supply chains of varying degrees, depending
upon the size of the organization and the type of product manufactured. There are six key elements to a supply chain:

Introduction to Wal-Mart:
Wal-Mart Stores is an American public multinational corporation that runs a chain of large discount department stores and a chain of warehouse stores. Wal-Mart has 8,500 stores in 15 countries, with 55 different names.
Walmart remains a family-owned business, as the company is controlled by the Walton family.
Unlike many other retailers, Wal-Mart does not charge a slotting fee to
suppliers for their products to appear in the store. Instead, it focuses on selling more popular products and provides incentives for store managers to

Big Bazaar is the largest hypermarket chain in India was introduced by the Future Group in September 2001, was launched mainly as a fashion format selling apparel, cosmetics, accessories and general merchandise.
Over the years, the retail chain has included in its portfolio a wide range of products
and services, ranging from grocery to electronics designed as an agglomeration of bazaars.
As of June 2, 2012 there are 214 stores across 90 cities and towns in India. They also
signed a deal with Cognizant Technology Solutions for the development of an IT infrastructure, encompassing Future Groups entire network of stores, warehousing and data centres.
They also partnered with Disney to launch "Kidz Cookies", exclusively for kids across India further planning to add value to its retail services by offering Value added services like grinding, de-seeding, vegetables cutting at free of cost.
