What Is Verbs

Verbs are words that describe actions, states, or occurrences and form the main part of a predicate in a sentence. Verbs can indicate the tense of actions as present, past, or future. Regular verbs form their past tense by adding -ed or -d, while irregular verbs have unpredictable past forms. Verbs also have singular and plural forms, and the third person singular takes -s. Auxiliary verbs like be, do, have can change the meaning of other verbs. already happened, if it will happen
later, or if it is happening now. For
things happening now, we use

Averbmust agree with itssubject.Subject-verb


agreementgenerally means that thethird person singular
verbform must be used with athird person subjectin the
