At the end of the exam......

Before an exam.....

You revise Mathematics best by Practice

Concentrate on revising the Given Topics
Then the B Topics
Remember the 50/10 rule (50 Minutes of
work & 10 Minutes of Rest)
Timetable your revision to specific topics i.e.
Trial & Improvement on Monday
Read your notes & Complete some
problems (Check the answers to these)

Before an exam.....
Dont be afraid to ask for help
Buy yourself the correct equipment
(pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, sharpener,
compass, protractor & Scientific
Calculator)
Learn the formulae & properties off by
heart
Help each other & talk to each other (&
me and/or other teachers)

At the start of an exam.....

Take Ten deep breaths & Relax, you
can do this exam.....
Read the instructions on the front of
the paper
Layout all your lovely new equipment
before you
Remember to pace yourself you have
105 minutes to complete the exam

During an exam.....
Skim the paper & select the easiest
questions to complete first
The easiest questions are first
Keep an eye on the time: remember you
have 105 minutes to complete your
exam, approx 1 minute to every 1 mark
If you cant remember how to do a
question skip it & come back to it; dont
get bogged down on one question

When answering a question......

Write down what you know (the
information given in the question)
Write down any relevant formulae
Write down all working out (Method Marks)
Write down the answer(s) when you have
solved the problem
Check that your answer is correct and
makes sense

At the end of the exam......

Shut your paper & take Ten Deep
breaths
Open your paper & check all your work
thoroughly (Not just skimming it)
Go back to the beginning and attempt
the questions you could not answer

Finally remember.....
Every last one of you can do this, you
just need to do 3 things:
