Is a noun clause in a sentence that is
begun with a single question word
Example :
1. where is she now is still unknown
2. When they arrive is still uncertain
Where is she now and when they
arrive are noun clause that is begun
where and when as the question
word

2. Question words + ever/soever


Is a noun clause in a sentence that is begun
with a question word + ever/soever
All the question word can use in this noun
clause except how. because if how+
ever/soever, it became a transition word.
Examples :
1. We will accept whatever you want us to do.
2. Whoever can melt her feeling is a very
lucky guy

with a question word + noun
The question word +noun that is always
used, such as what time, what type, what
kind,whoose book,whoose car,etc
Examples :
1. I cant remember what day we will take the
exam.
2. I dont know whose car is parked in front of
my house.

Is a noun clause in a sentence that is
begun with a question word + adjectives
Question word +adjectives that is always
used, such as how long, how far, how old
Example :
1. Man!She still looks young. Do you know
how old she actually is?
2. What a jerk. He didnt even ask how
long I had been waiting for him

5. Question words + determiners.


Is a noun clause in a sentence that is
begun with a question word + determiners,
such as howmany or how much
Examples :
1. Is there any correlation between how
good he or she is in English and how
many books he or she has?
2. How much your English skill will improve
is determined by how hard you practice.

6. Question words + adverbs.


Is a noun clause in a sentence that is
begun with a question word +
adverbs, such as how often and how
many time
Examples :
1. No matter how often I practice, my
English still sucks.
2. I dont want my parents to know
how many times I have left school
early.

7. Question words + infnitives.


Is a noun clause in a sentence that is
begun with a question word + infinitives
The question word+ infinitive has
meaning should, can or could
Examples :
1. She didnt know what to do = She
didnt know what she should do.
2. Marry told us where to find her = Marry
told us where we could find her.
