INTRODUCTION
Abiofuelis afuelthat is produced through
biological processes, such as agriculture and
anaerobic digestion, rather than a fuel produced
by geological processes such as those involved in
the formation offossil fuel , such as coal and
petroleum, from prehistoric biological matter.
Biofuels can be derived directly from plants, or
indirectly from agricultural, commercial,
domestic, and/or industrial wastes.
ADVANTAGES OF
BIOFUELS
High prices
Limited stock
Major contribution
to air pollution
Bio-degradable &
renewable
Non-toxic & lesser
Green house
emissions.
Higher Flash Point.
OUR OBJECTIVES
To check feasibility of Cotton seed oil and Soya
bean oil blends as an alternative fuel.
To check performance characteristics of these
biodiesel blends.
To find out the blending percentage of these
blends to give optimum performance.
To perform exhaust gas analysis.
METHODOLOGY
Physical testing of biodiesel blends
1. Flash point And Fire Point.
2. Specific Gravity at 15 deg Celsius.
3. Viscosity at 40 deg Celsius.
4. Density.
5. Cetane number.
6. Absolute Viscosity.
7. Calorific Value.
.Performance test
1. Load Test
