What is it
The use of Technology in communication can tackle
some basic problems such as – accuracy, cost, speed,
quality, quantity in the light of wide corporate
business operations.

Intranet
Connection within the organization is known as
intranet.
It is also referred to a system with restricted audience
The intranet has access to internet but the internet
has no access to the intranet.
The intranet has limited or private accessibility.
Intra means within and with reference to computer
network, it refers to private networking within an
organization.

Internet is a conglomeration of a number of smallest
networks and other smaller inter-connected machines
distributed over the entire globe.
Internet is a window to the global superhighway and
to the cyberspace.
The internet is a two way communication method.
The basic principal of the internet is that the sender
and the user are on the same line.

Mention the subject clearly
Use short paragraph for reader’s attention
Be complete and concise and avoid confusion
Use upper and lower case letters. It is easier to read.
All capital letter is considered ‘shouting’, which
should be avoided.
Avoid inappropriate and unpleasant language
Avoid attaching too many attachments

It is a communication protocol allowing the

The text may be in the form of numbers or an
alphanumeric combination.

Teleconferencing
It is electronic communication between two or more
people at two or more locations.
In its simplest form, it is the telephone conference
call that has been available for many years.
With speakerphones in each office, the number of
participants can be greatly increased.
When using two-way calls, all participants can speak
with all other participants. In one way
communication calls, oral messages are delivered
simultaneously to many locations.

It can not replace face to face interaction between
people.
Where people prefer face to face interaction

A real time video session between two or more users
or between two or more locations.
It allows people at different locations to see and hear
each other at the same time.
It is fully interactive and almost like face to face
meetings.
Better equipments can improve the quality of
interaction through video-conferencing

Disadvantages
The person that you want to talk to should have a
computer as well as the hardware and software
required for conferencing
Computer is not portable like cellular phone. Hence,
it effects the portability of your conferencing
The privacy of a videoconferencing is not always
guaranteed.
