Reflection
This inventory was very beneficial for the students who took it. It allowed them to
get a deeper understanding of how they learn. They were able to read in detail what
it meant to be an auditory learner, a visual learner, or a kinesthetic learner. It gave
them specifics on how to better themselves as learners within the classroom and
even the real world. In addition, as an educator, I find this information necessary so
that I can meet the needs of my students and how they process new information.
Reflection
This inventory is a great way to allow learners to get a better understanding of the
different intelligences they use when learning. The learners were able to see where
they were the strongest and where they were the weakest when it came to Howard
Gardners Eight Intelligences. They can use this information to help them learn and
process new information within their education, as well as their daily lives. In
addition, educators can find this information useful when planning specific lessons
for their students; making sure to meet the needs of each individual student.
Reflection
VARK is a great assessment for learners to get a deeper understanding of how they
learn best. It is similar to Walter Burke Barbes Learning Style theory, but includes
a reading and writing aspect. This questionnaire allows students to determine if
they learn best through visual, auditory, reading/writing, and/or kinesthetic.
