Problems
1. Draw the projections of a 65mm long straight line, in the following position:
(a) Parallel to both the HP and the VP and 30mm from each.
(b) Parallel to and 35mm above the HP and in the VP.
(c) Parallel to and 45mm in front of the VP and in the HP.
2. Draw the projections of a 70mm long straight line, in the following position:
(d) Perpendicular to the HP, 25mm in front of the VP and its one end 20mm above the HP.
(e) Perpendicular to the VP, 35mm above the HP and its one end in the VP.
(f) Perpendicular to the HP in the VP and its one end in the HP
3. Draw the projections of a 70mm long straight line, in the following position:
(g)Inclined at 30 to the HP and its one end 30mm above it; parallel to and 35mm in front of
the VP.
(h) Inclined at 55 to the VP and its one end 20mm in front of it; parallel to and 30mm above
the HP.
(i) Inclined at 45 to the VP; in the HP and its one end in the VP.
(j) Inclined at 45 to the HP; in the VP and its one end in the HP.
4. A 100mm long line is parallel to and 35mm above the HP. Its two ends are 25mm and 50mm
infront of the VP respectively. Draw its projections and find its inclination with the VP.
5. A 90mm long line is parallel to and 30mm in front of the VP. Its one end is in the HP. While the
6. The top view of a 80mm long line AB measures 55mm. The line is in the VP, its one
end
being 30mm above the HP. Draw its projections.
7. The front view of 70mm long line PQ measures 50mm. The line is parallel to the HP
and
30mm above the HP with one of its end in the VP. Draw the projections of the line
and
determine its inclination with the VP.
8. The front view of a line, inclined at 30 to the VP is 65mm long. Draw the projections
of the line, when it is parallel to and 40mm above the HP, its one end being 30mm in
front of
the VP.
9. Two pegs fixed on a wall are 4.5 metres apart. The distance between the pegs
measured parallel to the floor is 3.6 metres. If one peg is 1.5 meters above the floor, find
the height
of the second peg and the inclination of the line joining the two pegs, with
the floor.
10. A vertical line AB, 80mm long, has its end A in the HP and 30mm in front of the VP. A
line
AC, 100mm long, is in the HP and parallel to the VP. Draw the projections of the
line
joining B and C, determine its inclination with the HP.
