Activity Card
The Activity Card defines the task(s) that

the learner should undertake in order to


develop a skill.
The task is competency-oriented and
may be an individual or group work.
The purpose of the task(s) is to provide
enough practice for the learner so that
the latter can perform the skill
automatically. Thus, a number of
activities should be provided in order to
develop a particular skill.

Begin where the learners are. Introduce

the activity by

Building on prior learning;


Drawing on the learners prior experience;
or
Starting with the familiar.

Visual and would need materials that they
can read or see; or
Kinesthetic and would appreciate being
provided with materials that they can

mataas na pagpapahalaga sa matatanda.


2. Ang mga sinaunang pamayanan ay
natatag sa may baybayin ng ilog o dagat.

Assessment Card
The

Assessment Card helps the


learner measure his/her level of
mastery of the skill upon completion of
the task(s).
The result of the
assessment
identifies the knowledge/skill(s) that the
learner may need to enhance or
develop further.

Gamitin ang tseklis bilang patnubay sa pagtiyak

kung ang pahayag ay katotohanan o opinyon.


Tseklis

Ang pahayag ba ay personal na haka-haka na


maaaring sang-ayunan o pasinungalingan ng iba?
Kung oo ang sagot, ang pahayag ay isang opinyon.
Ang pahayag ba ay tinatanggap ng lahat dahil may
mga katibayang nagpapatunay rito? Kung gayon, ito
ay isang katotohanan.

Enrichment Card
The Enrichment Card extends learning

by providing additional exercises for


further application of knowledge or
skill.
It
may also contain additional
information to extend knowledge.

Ang opinyon ay iba sa teorya. Ang huli ay

hinuhang nangangailangan ng patunay


upang masubok ang katotohanan nito.
Halimbawa ng teorya:

Sinasabing ang mga sinaunang tao sa Pilipinas


ay dumating nang laksa-laksa.(Kailangang
patunayang dumagsa sa Pilipinas ang mga
sinaunang tao.)

Halimbawa ng teorya:

Ang pagkilos ng mga bato sa kailaliman ng


lupa ay maaaring siyang lumikha ng mga
bundok sa Pilipinas. (Ito ay isa sa mga
itinuturing na dahilan ng pagbuo ng mga
anyong-lupa sa kapuluan. Marami pang
maaaring naging daan ng pagbuo ng anyonglupa, tulad ng bundok.)

Reference Card
The

Reference
Card
provides
additional content to the coverage of
the textbook.
It may also list resources that the
learner may refer to for further reading.

Ang

opinyon ay karaniwang naglalaman ng


personal o pansariling paniniwala o palagay.
Maaaring umayon ito o hindi sa paniniwala ng iba.
Halimbawa:
Ang mga sinaunang Pilipino ay hindi sibilisado.
(Ito ay pansariling paniniwala na walang sapat
na batayan.)
May mga gawain ang mga sinaunang Pilipino na
nakakapagpapababa sa karangalan ng bansa.
(Opinyon lamang ito ng nagsalita sapagkat
walang sapat na batayan.)

Ang katotohanan ay batay sa mga datos.

May saligan ito o mga patunay na


nagpapatibay sa pagiging katanggaptanggap ng pahayag.
Halimbawa:
May sariling kabihasnan ang mga Pilipino bago
pa man dumating ang mga Kastila sa Pilipinas.
(May mga katibayang sumusuporta sa
pahayag na ito.)

Halimbawa:
May

mga paniniwala ang mga sinaunang


Pilipino na bunga ng pakikipag-ugnayan
nila sa ibang lipunan. (Pinatunayan sa
kasaysayan na maraming paniniwalang
Pilipino na kahalintulad ng ibang lipunang
nakipag-ugnayan sa atin.)

Key Checkpoints
Ensure

alignment of activities with the


tasks/objectives;
Keep the activities short and simple;
Provide a variety of activities to cater to
diverse learning styles; and
Provide a number of activities (at least three
per task) so that the learner can have
enough practice in developing the skill.
