GEOINFORMATICS

Geoinformatics is the science of measuring, storing, analyzing, and visualizing data related to phenomena on Earth. It combines geospatial analysis, modeling, databases, human-computer interaction, and networking technologies. The main branches of geoinformatics are cartography, geodesy, GIS, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and GNSS. Geoinformatics has many applications, including in agriculture, criminology, conservation, telecommunications, and disaster management.
