Rules Procedures

Ms. Calderaro's 6th grade science class rules emphasize respect for others. Students are expected to enter quietly, do their "Do Now" promptly, and follow classroom rules about respectful behavior, asking permission and trying their best. Behavior will be graded according to a rubric assessing self-control, life skills use, interactions with others, and participation/contributions. Students are given bathroom passes each quarter and reminded of school rules against cell phones, gum and hats in class. Exit procedures involve cleaning up and waiting quietly to be dismissed. The class covers 21st century skills and Next Generation Science Standards through tests, projects, homework and other assignments.
