Zinc oxide was synthesized for use as a lithium ion battery anode through a graphene oxide assisted method. Zinc acetate was dissolved in dimethylformamide and mixed with a graphene oxide solution that was sonicated in DMF. The mixture was heated to 95-120°C for 5 hours to allow self-assembly, then washed and annealed to produce the final product.

Graphene Oxide =40mg, it is Dissolved in 50ml of N-N-Dimethylformamide
(DMF) & sonicated for 30 min.
GO Solution added to Zinc acetate solution under stirring
Mixture heated to 95-1200 C under stirring
Kept for 5 hours
Product washed by ethanol & DI Water
Powder was transferred to tubular furnace & Annealed at 500 0C with Ar gas
inert atmosphere.
