A Symbol can be anything as long as its used


to represent something else.

For example a Symbol can be a word, sound,


object, shape, or marking.

It can even be a place or event.

deeper meaning that is not its literal
meaning.

shape and colour. However, When we see it
we know it means STOP!

things have always been done in the past. In order to say
that something istraditional, it must be long established.

people. It is based on common things in specific cultures, at a
specific time. In other words, to beconventional, something
must be widely practiced. If something is conventionalfor a
long period of time, it will become traditional.

For example, itsconventionalto make Turkey and pumpkin
pie for Thanksgiving in US and Canada, but it might
betraditional to make chocolate brownies instead of
pumpkin pie for dessert in your family.
