Disadvantages of Tyler Model and How To Implement

The Tyler Model of curriculum development has disadvantages such as being overly prescriptive, discouraging creativity and critical thinking, and focusing on teaching for examinations rather than learning. However, the Tyler Model can be implemented effectively in classrooms by first determining objectives and purposes that are consistent with the school's philosophy, then identifying educational experiences to help students achieve those objectives, organizing the experiences in a logical order, and evaluating whether the objectives were met through assessment.
