Karl Popper was an influential 20th century philosopher of science. [1] He developed the principle of falsifiability, which holds that for a theory to be considered scientific it must be capable of being proven false. New Zealand and was a professor at the London School
of Economics where he founded the Department of
Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method in 1946, and
there lectured and influenced both Imre Lakatos and
Paul Feyerabend
