I will treat all clients and advocates in a respectful and professional manner I will strive to equally distribute my time and attention to all clients without favoritism. HISTORY Southeastern Family Violence Center was incorporated as Robeson County Committee on Domestic Violence, INC in 1981. SFVC was founded by a group of 5 concerned Robeson County citizens. During the early days, services were provided mostly by volunteers. The first SFVC office was located on 15th Street in the old Church and Community building. The office then moved into what is now the shelter. For many years the office and shelter were combined. In the mid-90s SFVC purchased 108 West 9th Street for offices and kept the shelter. In 2003, the shelter underwent extensive renovations. Today, SFVC has a paid staff of 10, an annual operating budget of over $450,000 and growing. Southeastern Family Violence Center has stood strong for 36 years. MOVING FORWARD A new project being started up for Southeastern Family Violence Center, the rapid rehousing center. This program helps transition people into housing by providing their housing deposit along with three months of rent. As well as utility deposits and three months of utility payments. This program is still up and coming and being worked out to be implemented to its fullest potential
