This document discusses the sources and methods of collecting primary and secondary data. It defines data and data collection. Primary data is collected first-hand for research purposes using methods like observation, interviews, and questionnaires. It provides accurate and detailed information but is costly and time-consuming to collect. Secondary data has already been collected by others and includes sources like journals, directories, and publications. It is quicker and cheaper to obtain but may be outdated or irrelevant. Both primary and secondary data are important for research.
