Making of Brick by The Using of Red

This document summarizes a study that used red brick dust to make bricks and compared their compressive strength to fly ash bricks. Bricks were made with different ratios of red brick dust, fly ash, stone dust, lime, gypsum and cement. The bricks were cured for 7 days and then tested to determine their compressive strength. Testing found that bricks with a ratio of 50% red brick dust, 30% stone dust and 20% cement had the highest compressive strength of both red brick dust bricks and fly ash bricks.

Introduction
Red brick dust is the demolished waste of
building. This waste of the bricks is used for
making of red brick dust brick . This
demolished waste is collected from the
building and also from the construction
place. This red brick dust is used for
replacement of fly ash with their suitable
percentage .
This type of red brick dust brick gives the
higher strength as compared to fly ash bricks

There are 12 bricks are made by the moulds

where 6 bricks is flyash and 6 brick red brick
dust .
This bricks are having a 3 ratio and 2 bricks of
flyash and 2 bricks of brick dust having a same
ratio.
After the 7 days of curing this bricks are filled
the frog by the ratio of 1:3.
For flyash brick in this ratio taken 1part cement
and 3 part flyash.
For red brick dust this ratio is 1part cement and
3part red brick dust
after 24 hour natural drying of this bricks curing
for 3 days.
Bricks are in the curing tank
for the 7 days after curing .
The size of the bricks
70mmX 120mmX230mm.

Conclusion

All 3 ratio are considered and we see that

the third ratio Is best proportion of the
material .In the third ratio
1. Red brick dust-50%,
2. stone dust-30% ,
3. cement 20%.

This composition of the bricks is very good

because of this ratio is gives the maximum
compressive strength.
