Titanic

The document discusses the construction and sinking of the Titanic. It describes how the Titanic was built at the Harland and Wolff shipyards between 1909 and 1911. On its maiden voyage in 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank in the North Atlantic, resulting in the deaths of over 1500 passengers and crew. Several factors contributed to the high death toll, including a lack of lifeboats and problems communicating iceberg warnings to the bridge in a timely manner.
