b) Without load shedding but could be with rescheduling of
generation, ISTS shall withstand and secure against the following
outages:
– a 400 KV D/C line
– a 400 KV S/C line with TCSC
– both pole of HVDC Bi-pole or HVDV B2B stations
– Outage of 765 KV S/C line with series compensation
ii) Above contingency assuming a pre contingency system
depletion . All generating units within their reactive
capability curves and network voltage profile within limits

severe single system in feed without loss of

Restricted Governor Action (5.2(f))
• Thermal generating > 200 MW and hydro units > 10 MW on

• Hydro with pondage upto 3 hrs, Gas Units, Combined Cycle, wind,
solar & nuclear exempted till CERC reviews
• When frequency stabilise at 50.0 Hz FGMO would be intoduced

• RLDC may direct Regional entity to curtail VAR drawal/injection for
safety and security of grid or safety of equipment
• Beneficiaries to minimise injection/drawal of VAR if voltage goes
beyond + 5%.
• ICT taps may changed as per regional entity request to RLDC

(400kV) shall be carried out as per RLDC instruction.
