Artificial intelligence(AI) is an area of computer science that
emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like
humans. Some of the activities computers with artificial intelligence are
designed for include

 Planning
 Problem solving
WHAT IS INTELLIGENCE?
All but the simplest human behaviour is ascribed to intelligence, while even the
most complicated insect behaviour is never taken as an indication of
intelligence. Research in AI has focused chiefly on the following components of
intelligence.

• Problem solving
• Perception
• Using a language

HISTORY OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The field if AI is considered to have its origin in the publication of
British mathematician Alan Turing’s paper “ Computing Machinery and
Intelligence “ in 1950. The earliest successful AI program was written in
1951 by Christopher Strachey, later director of the Programming
Research Group at the University of Oxford.
The first AI program to run in the US was written in 1952 by Arthur Samuel
for the prototype of the IBM 701.

Artificial Intelligence and the technology are one side of the life that always
interest and surprise us with the new ideas, topics, innovations, products …etc. AI
is still not implemented as the films representing it(i.e. intelligent robots),
however there are many important tries to reach the level and to compete in
market, like sometimes the robots that they show in TV. Nevertheless, the hidden
projects and the development in industrial companies.
This is not the end of AI, there is more to come from it, who knows what the AI
can do for us in the future, maybe it will be a whole society of robots.
