Textile Testing Machines
Textile Testing Machines
In Uster Afis Pro 2, any material in the form of bale, mat, sliver or roving can be tested on
the, repeatedly and reliably. Blends can be tested up to a ratio of 50% cotton: 50% synthetic.
FEATURES
• Basic measurements of the NC Module include the amount of cotton fiber and seed
coat neps.
• L&M Module measures fiber length and short fiber content, plus cotton maturity and
immature fiber content.
• Trash Module measures the trash and dust content in cotton
• Histogram Reports show the distribution of each fiber property compared to its size
group, visualizing the impact of a process on the fiber material..

DIGI VISION MICROSCOPE
FEATURES
• Latest design computer interfaced projection microscope for fiber & yarn analysis.
• With maximum resolution of 1500X magnification
• Photos of all fibers longitudinal & cross-sectional view are loaded in software to
identify the fibers without prior knowledge in the same.
• Various type of measurement like length, area, count of any fine textile fiber can be
done.

USTER TESTER 5-C800 (UT5)
• With the special sensor technology, periodic or nearly periodic mass variations caused
by defective rotating machine parts (such as gears from the spinning pump) can be
detected with the spectrogram.
• Operated at speeds up to 800 m/min with continuous adjustability
7
(UT5)
PRINCIPLE
• Digital yarn tension meter has a specially designed electronic sensor which is
capable of sensing tension in the moving yarn very accurately.
8
• This sensor converts the tension read by the sensing probe into the equivalent
electrical signal. This signal is processed through the micro-controller and the yarn
tension is displayed digitally in grams.
FEATURES
9
• The high performance installation USTER TENSOJET 4 can carry out fully automatic
measurements with up to 30'000 tests - which means 24 km of yarn - per hour.
• Spectrogram allows identification of periodic faults.
USTER TENSORAPID 4
10
FEATURES
• USTER TENSORAPID 4 supplies all standard test values of tensile testing and provides
in-depth analysis of yarn quality.
• Smart and easy operation

DIGITAL ELMENDORF TEAR TESTER
The Digital Elmendorf Tear Tester is a microprocessor controlled instrument for determining the
internal tearing resistance of paper and board. The instrument features a digital display and
enhanced accuracy.
FEATURES
• Digital selection of number of plies torn allows for single ply testing
13
DIGITAL MINI-MARTINDALE
FEATURES
• The mini-martindale has a powerful drive system to overcome the high levels of
friction, which are generated, when rubbing, for example, rubber gloves against glass
paper.
FEATURES
o The mini-martindale has a powerful drive system to overcome the high levels of
friction, which are generated, when rubbing, for example, rubber gloves against
glass paper.
o Higher speeds for accelerated testing.
14
o Suitable for wet testing o Ideal for
tests generating high levels of friction o
Sample thickness up to 20mm
• The principle of the digital air permeability tester is that air is drawn through a
specified area of fabric, which is adjustable to suit specific textiles being
evaluated.
APPLICATIONS
• Textile Fabrics
• Blankets
• Napped fabrics
• Pile fabrics
FEATURES
• Digital operation

Precise, repeatable tests
USTER FABRISCAN
• At a speed up to 120 meters per minute, dependent on the fabric characteristics, Fabriscan
is capable to detect flaws and defects as small as 0.3 mm.
• Automatic fault reporting and fault marking.
