What is public speaking?
Oxford Dictionary defines it as -

“The action or practice of addressing public gatherings; the

making of speeches”
How do you think?
Are your thoughts -
1. In the form of words of the English language?
2. In the form of words of your native tongue?
3. In the form of images?
WHAT IS YOUR ROAD BLOCK?
The signs that mark a good speaker
1. Clarity of thought - no um, ah, hmm.

2. Fluency in the language

3. Engages the attention of the audience - Till the very end


How do we achieve each of these?
1. Organise, Organise, Organise - Organise your thoughts

2. Practice - Read, Listen, Converse and Write

3. Understand your audience


It’s all about the “Junta”.

TAILORING YOUR CONTENT
● Based on your audience, make the content as technical as required.

For a diverse audience, simplify the content.

For a specific audience, use of technical jargon is permitted.
