Rules for Reporting Alarms
Each physical RNC reports its alarms
Only the master RNC reports service alarms.
(such as transmission alarms) respectively.

On RNC in Pool Node Redundancy networks, if a

NodeB control switchover is performed, the preceding
alarms are cleared and then detected and reported by
the new master RNC.

RNC in Pool Load Sharing Traffic Statistics
On RNC in Pool Load Sharing
networks, the performance
counters of UEs who are
offloaded to other RNCs are not
only counted into the basic KPIs,
but also defined as new counters
for assessing the KPIs of loading
sharing UEs.

Troubleshooting
Case 1: UEs for load sharing in Step 4: Check whether the UE accesses
the network by means of IMSI or TMSI.
IMSI-binding mode (ADD UIMSI)
are not offloaded.
Step 1: Check the switch and license
for RNC in Pool Load Sharing.

Step 2: Check for alarms

related to RNC in Pool.

Step 3: Check the user plane states of the Iu, Iub,

and Iur-p interfaces on the overflow RNC.

Troubleshooting
Check the transmission status and check whether the overflow
RNC reports ALM-21392 Adjacent Node IP Address Ping Failure.
Case 2: The user plane load
sharing function is unavailable.

Troubleshooting
Case 3: On an RNC in Pool Node
Redundancy network, cell
establishment fails after a NodeB
control switchover is performed.

Check whether the user-plane

configuration is correct on the NodeB side.

Check whether the user-plane

configuration is correct on the RNC side.
