Principles and Elements of Landscape Design: Prepared By: Mr. Gideon J. Pascubillo

The document outlines key principles of landscape design including unity, simplicity, variety, balance, sequence, proportion or scale, form, texture, line, focal point, color, selecting plants, arranging plants, and dos and don'ts. It emphasizes tying the landscape together into an orderly yet varied design with balanced visual weight and a gradual change using principles such as form, texture, and color. A focal point should be used to draw emphasis but not forced. Landscaping should take cues from the surrounding area and follow natural patterns starting simply and enjoying the work without rushing.
