HR JARGONS
• Raiding
It refers to the practices made by one organization to win
members of a competing organization for their own. As a tactic,
both management and labor use raiding.
• Schmoozing
Collective term for all of the social interactions engaged in by
employees that are seemingly unrelated to their organization’s
productivity.
• Down-Time Pay
It is the payment for time spent idle because of equipment
failures (or routine maintenance) that are already beyond the
responsibility of the employee.
• Sunshine Bargaining
Collective bargaining sessions open to the press and public.
This process is more likely to be used in public sector
