 Duratuf Glass Industries private limited is company established in


the year 1986.The company is deals in various types of glasses .the
company provide many types of glasses for the different purpose it
produce both curved and flat laminated glasses. This company is
certified by various National /International testing agencies.
 This company has the state of art plant from TAMGLASS (Finland)
with the facility to produce exclusive glasses for various sectors.
RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

It refers to the overall process of attracting, short listing, selecting and


appointing suitable candidates for jobs (either permanent or temporary)
within an organization. Recruitment can also refer to processes involved in
choosing individuals for unpaid roles. Managers, human resource
generalists and recruitment specialists may be tasked with carrying out
recruitment, but in some cases public-sector employment agencies,
commercial recruitment agencies, or specialist search consultancies are
used to undertake parts of the process. Internet-based technologies to
support all aspects of recruitment have become widespread.
The selection is the process of choosing the most suitable candidate for
the vacant position in the organization. In other words, selection means
weeding out unsuitable applicants and selecting those individuals with
prerequisite qualifications and capabilities to fill the jobs in the
organization
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

 Research is defined as “a scientific & systematic search for


potential Information on a specific topic”. Research is an art of
scientific investigation. Research is a systemize effort of gain new
knowledge. It is a careful inquiry especially through research for
new ideas in any branch of knowledge. The search for knowledge
through objective and systematic method of finding solution to a
problem is a research.
 Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research
problem. In it, step-by-step methods are followed to solve a
particular problem. If refers to a search for knowledge. It can also
be defined as scientific and systematic search for pertinent
information on a specific topic. It may be understood has science of
studying how research is done scientifically. In fact, research is on
art of scientific investigation.

OBJECTIVES OF DATA COLLECTION

Primary sources

The primary data was collected through questionnaires.They were filled using the
scheduled method of data collection by the researcher. Primary data is a data which have
been collected originally for the first time. in other words, primary data may be outcome
of an original statistical inquiry, measurement of facts or a count that is undertaken for the
first time. For instance data of population census is primary. Primary data being fresh from
the fields of investigation is very often referred to as raw data. In the collection of primary
data, a good deal of time, money and energy are required.

The following are the method of collecting primary data


Collection directly by personal investigation.
Collection indirectly by oral investigation.
Collection by questionnaires and schedules.
Collection from statistical reports of correspondents and from local sources.
OBJECTIVES OF DATA COLLECTION

Secondary sources

The secondary sources were used only for collecting information


regarding the sample, they were however not used for analysis.
Secondary data is data that has already been collected and
examined earlier by other investigators. Secondary data can either
be published or unpublished data.
LIMITATIONS

 Limited time period so sample size is small.


 Some employees may not have expressed their real views due to fear of top
management.
 Some employees are not available as are busy in their work so they are not
able to provide information regarding project.
 There was a problem in taking appointment for the manager for collect
more information.
 Two months ‘time span is not sufficient for the deep study on the desired
topic.

SUGGESTIONS

 The following are the recommendations received from the


respondent from the questionnaire . These recommendations are
based on their awareness regarding the recruitment and selection
process .
 HR manager should maintain a data base of the recruitment of the
candidates .
 Candidate rejected on the basis of behavior should not be
interviewed in future .
 The time completion in each stage should be very specifically
define .
 Company should also focus on campus recruitment ,job portals for
recruit candidates.
 Company should describe the job clearly in the recruitment process
.

CONCLUSION

 It was the wonderful experience for me to work with this company.


The study helps to understand the working style in this Duratuf
Glass company . It was understood that departmentalization was
very good . All the departments works in efficient way .
 Recruitment and selection is very important to future of any
organization . Duratuf Glass Industries pvt. Ltd. follows a formal
recruitment and selection process .Company recruits the employees
by two methods , internally and externally
 The internal methods uses are job posting, skill inventory , job
bidding and referrals . External methods are use by the company are
advertisement , private employment agencies and internet.
 Recruitment and selection is a process of picking up more
competent and suitable employees for the right job
