• Direct export mode – It represent the most basic mode of
exporting made by a (holding) company, capitalizing on
economies of scale in production concentrated in the home
country and affording better control over distribution

• Indirect export mode – It is the process of exporting through


domestically based export intermediaries. The exporter has no
control over its products in the foreign market.

• International franchising – It is a strategic way to reduce


dependence on domestic demand and grow new, future
revenue and profit centers worldwide.

production, a firm may sub-contract manufacturing in a
foreign country. It involves supply of inputs, semi-finished
goods, components & technical know-how to local
