over the internet instead of our computer’s hard
drive.
• The cloud is just a symbol for the internet.
• It is a technology that uses internet & central

• Big data is a term used to describe large volume


of both structured & unstructured data that is
difficult to process using traditional techniques.

• Now it is possible to analyse the big data using

• Source of innovation for technology is coming


largely from consumer world.
• More mobile applications are increasingly being
built for the purpose of mobile users & not for

• It is a mobile communication standard that allows
mobile phones, computers & other portable
devices to access the internet wirelessly.

• It allows download speeds of up to 7.2mbps.

• 3G services work using a “cellular” based


technology, the signals are passed
from phone tower to phone tower & then the
tower nearest the phone
passes the signal to it.
4G 4’th Generation

•4G is the current fastest data network on smartphones

•4G can often be faster than using WiFI

•4G typically around 5 times faster than 3G.

•4G is based on the WiMAX or LTE (Long Term


Evolution) systems and has a theoretical maximum
speed of 100Mbps

•Its coverage is still relatively limited.

Also known as a handled PC , or Personal Data Assistance is

appointments , files , programs.

4. Smart Phone
A smart phone is a mobile phone with an
advanced mobile operating system which combines
features of a personal computer operating system
with other features useful for mobile or handled use.

It is a multifunctional device , not merely used for

5. Head Mounted Devices
These are a sub-set of a wearable computer
technology which aim to allow hands free access to

Liquid Crystal Display(LCD) or Cathode-Ray Tubes (CRT) screens
that are either mounted on a helmet or on a glasses frame
structure.
HMD’s are either binocular or stereoscopic
