Communication Process F

The document discusses the communication process. It defines communication as the transmission of information from one person to another. The communication process involves a sender encoding a message, which is sent and received by a receiver who decodes the message. Feedback from the receiver to the sender is an important part of the two-way process. Key components are the sender, message, encoding, receiver, decoding, and feedback. Barriers called "noise" can interfere with successful transmission of the message.

COMMUNICATION

PROCESS
Presented by: Seemal Shehzad
Communication:

• Communication is the
art of transmitting
information, ideas and
attitudes from one
person to another.
• Communication is a vital
part of personal life and
is also important in
business, education,
and any other situation
where people encounter
each other.
Communication
Process:

The sharing of meaningful

in formation between two
or more people with the
goal of the receiver
understanding the sender’s
intended message.
Components of communication
process:
 Sender
 Encoding
 Message
 Receiver
 Decoding
 Feedback
Sender:
The person who sends his
ideas to another person.
For example: If a manager
wants to inform his
subordinates about the
introduction of new
product, he is the sender.
Encoding:
The encoding of a message is the
understanding of the message.
For example: Message is connected in
words or actions.
Message:
 A message is a short communication sent from
one person to another or the central theme or idea
of a communication.
 For example: When people talk, speech is the
message, when people cries, the crying is the
message.
Receiver:
 The person to whom the message has been sent.
 For example: Subordinates are receiver.
Decoding:
 Decoding is the process of turning communication into
thoughts.
 For example: When sending an email, all data, including
certain attachments and images are encoded using a format
such as Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions(MIME).When
data arrives, decoding converts into the email message
content to its original form.
Feedback:
 Feedback is the essence of two-way
communication.
 For example: Feedback is a judge in a dance
competition giving constructive criticism after a
performance.
Noise:
The noise shows the barriers in
communications. There are chances when
the message sent by the sender is not
received by the recipient.
