The document discusses the active and passive voice. The active voice has the subject performing the action, while the passive voice has the subject receiving the action. To change from active to passive, the object becomes the subject, the subject becomes part of a prepositional phrase with "by", and a form of "be" is added to the main verb. Tenses can also be changed in the passive voice by using appropriate helping verbs.
