OF 2017

March 6, 2017 Senate had approved


on third and final reading Senate
Bill No. 1305 known as the
“Expanded Maternity Leave Law of
2017”
On Feb.20, 2019 Pres.Rodrigo Duterte
signed Republic Act 11210

Under the measure, all working mothers in the


government and private sector are guaranteed
with 105 days of paid maternity leave credits.An
additional 15 days of paid leave will be granted to
single mothers.
 Married teacher is entitled for 7 days
leave
• applicable on the birth of FIRST FOUR
CHILDREN of LEGAL wife
Who are considered solo
parents?
A result of rape and other crimes
Death of spouse
Spouse is detained for at least one year
Physical or mental incapacity of spouse
 Legal Separation or nullity of marriage
 Abandonment of Spouse for at least 1
year.
Any family member who assumes
the responsibility of head of family
as a result of the death,
abandonment, disappearance or
prolonged absence of the parents
or solo parent.
Parental leave of 7 days shall be granted to
any solo parent employee subject to the
following conditions:
 The solo parent must have rendered government service for a least 1
year, whether continuous or broken.
 The parental leave shall be availed of every year and shall not be
convertible to cash. If not availed within the calendar year, said
privilege shall be forfeited within the same year.
 The parental leave shall be availed of on a continuous or
staggered basis, subject to the approval of the
administrator. In this regard, the solo parent shall
submit the application for parental leave at least 1 week
prior to availing the solo parent leave, except on
emergency cases.
 The solo parent employee may avail of parental leave
under any of the following circumstances:
 Attend to personal milestones of a child such as
birthday, communion, graduation, and other similar
events;
 Perform parental obligations such as enrollment
and attendance in school programs, PTA meetings,
and the like;
 Attend to medical social, spiritual, and recreational
needs of the child; Other similar circumstances
necessary in the performance of parental duties and
responsibilities, where physical presence of the
parent is required.
STUDY LEAVE

 have rendered at least 7 years of


continuous service, you are entitled to a
study leave with pay not exceeding 1 school
year subject to the approval of the head of
the office.
Sick leave
Sick leave with pay can be availed of by the
teacher if such leave will be charged against
your accrued service credits.
Service credits are earned if you render services
during summer, Christmas vacation, or holidays
as authorized by proper authorities

Health Insurance (Phil Health).
