Painting
• The process of applying color on a flat
surface.
• Considered as two-dimensional, it only
has height and width.
• Forms can be created using a wide variety
of materials such as watercolor, acrylic, ink
oil, pastel and charcoal.
• Surfaces include wood, canvas, cardboard
and paper.
Forms of Painting
• Easel Painting
 the most common form of painting.
 involves applying color to a board or canvas that is
fixed on an upright support.

 portray the unclothed human figure.

 based from the scriptures like the Nativity
scene, and the station of the cross.

 depicts natural or man-made objects that
form a composition in a natural setting.
