Foreign Banks: Ben Mathews T4 Mba

Foreign banks are banks that are headquartered in a country other than the one in which they operate. In India, foreign banks are those with headquarters in another country but that operate branches within India, following the regulations of both their home and host countries. Domestic banks are headquartered within the country of operation, while foreign banks have headquarters elsewhere. Currently there are 46 foreign banks operating in India. Foreign banks enter the Indian market to take advantage of India's growing economy and opportunities in sectors like financing, small and medium businesses, and retail, as regulations become more open to foreign investment and operations.
