Hyperlinks allow users to navigate between slides in a PowerPoint presentation by clicking on text or images. They can be created by selecting the text or image, clicking hyperlink, choosing another slide in the presentation. Embedded objects import files from other applications into PowerPoint to retain their original format. Users can embed charts from Excel by inserting the object and selecting the Excel file. The key difference between linking and embedding is where the data is stored and how it is updated - embedded content is stored within the PowerPoint file while linked content remains external.

To insert a hyperlink to another slide:
1. Right-click the selected text or image,
then click Hyperlink.
2. The Insert Hyperlink dialog box will
appear.
3. On the left side of the dialog box,
click Place in this Document. Creating a

document by linking or embedding.
The main difference between linking
and embedding is where the data are
stored and how they are updated
after they where linked or embedded.
To embed a chart from Excel:
1. In PowerPoint, select the Insert tab.
