Encryption
• The process of converting information or
data into a code, especially to prevent
unauthorized access.
Decryption
• The process of taking encoded or
encrypted text or other data and
converting it back into text that you or the
computer can read and understand.
End-to-End Encryption (E2EE)
• End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is a
system of communication where only the
communicating users can read the
messages.
End-to-End Encryption
• When end-to-end encrypted, your messages,
photos, videos, voice messages, documents,
and calls are secured from falling into the
wrong hands.
• End-to-end encryption is available when you
and the people you message are on the latest
versions of Whatsapp.
Are Whatsapp Calls
Encrypted?
• Whatsapp Calling lets you talk to your
friends and family, even if they're in another
country.
• Just like your messages, Whatsapp calls are
end-to-end encrypted , so Third parties can't
listen to them.
Are Whatsapp Messages

• Whatsapp is now end-to-end encrypted at all
times.
• This will ensure that users' messages, videos,
photos sent over Whatsapp can't be read by
anyone else — not Whatsapp, not cyber-
criminals, not law-enforcement agencies. Even
calls and group chats will be encrypted.

• Tap on the name of the contact to open the
contact info screen.
