ABOUT COMPANY
• SKH METALS was established in the year 2006 . The company makes
Automotive Seating Systems, Alternate Fuel Systems, Automotive
Fabrics, Vehicle Interior Systems (Door Trims and Roof Headliners) ,
Vision Systems, Fuel Systems, Chassis Systems, Cabin Systems,
Exhaust Systems, Gear Shift Systems and Body Structure Systems.

• SKH Metals Ltd is one of the fruitful divisions of Krishna gathering,


that manages the sheet metal prerequisites of the car business.

• Aside from being, the pioneer in assembling metal Fuel Tanks in India,
SKH Metals Limited likewise produces Sheet Metal Stamped and
Welded Assemblies, Suspension Frames, Control Arms and Axle
Housings.

PRESS SHOP:
• A framing press, ordinarily abbreviated to press, is a machine instrument
that changes the state of a workpiece by the utilization of weight. The
administrator of a framing press is known as a press-instrument setter,
regularly abbreviated to toolsetter.
• Here all presses are addressed with their unique coding because each and
every press have their own weight and loading capacity.
• Here in SKH the press shop is used to manufacture fuel tanks of various
cars like OMNI, KERRY, ECO, etc.,

• There are two types of press:-
• Hydraulic Press:-
• It is a type of press in which two pressure is used i.e., main
pressure and cushion pressure.
• The main pressure is used to move the upper part of the die and
the cushion pressure is used to move the lower part of the die.

• There are two types of hydraulic press:
 Single Action:- In this, there is only one main pressure and
having a single bed.
 Double Action:- In this, there are two main pressures and having
a double bed.

• POWER PRESS:-
• It is a type of press in which there are 4 types of pressure used i.e., Main,
Cushion, Hydraulic & Counter balance. It is also known as Air Pressure
Press.
• The code of this power press is PPR – 011.
• The capacity of this press is 315 TON
• The lubrication used for this press is Pneumatic grease pump.
WHAT WE LEARNED
Here in SKH we learned the process of making of fuel tank and its
whole procedure. Following are the steps done in the process of
fuel tank:-
• First we choose a suitable sheet according to the fuel tank

requirement and the gauge thickness of the sheet taken is 1mm.


• Then the next step is to select the die according to the shape.

• Then, put a sheet between the die for giving a desired shape.

• After this the cutting and piercing the scrape material.

• The upper part of the fuel tank contain a hole which is used for

inserting the fuel in it.

• The upper and lower part of the fuel tank is joined with the
help of seam welding.
• Then after this the leakage of the fuel tank is been checked.
• The next step is to attach the accessories in the fuel tank.
• The final step is to do the painting of the fuel tank.
AUTOMATION:-
• Here robot are used in the company for doing Spot Welding of
the car Bonnet for ex., of OMNI, Ritz, etc.,
• The robot used here is a 3rd generation robot.
• The name of the robot used here is MOTOMAN YASKAWA and
its costing is approximately of around 3Crore.
EOT CRANE:-
• EOT stands for Electric Overhead Travelling.
• It is used to lift the sheet used in
manufacturing of the fuel tank.
• It is also used to measure the weight of the
sheet used for the fuel tank.
• In SKH, double grinder EOT crane is use for
lifting the sheet as well as dies used in the
company.
