Analytic and Holistic Rubrics

HOLISTIC RUBRIC ESSAY WRITING


TASK DESCRIPTION: Each student will make an essay about CLIMATE CHANGE .
Students may use of his/her observations and own experience in making the essay. He/ She
must have a introduction, body and conclusion.
OUTSTANDING The main idea is very clear and every details are placed in a logical
100-90 order. Students makes no errors in grammar/ spelling and punctuation
that distracts the reader from the content.
VERY The main idea is clear and details are placed in a logical order. Students
SATISFACTORY makes few errors in grammar/spelling and punctuation that distracts the
reader from the content.
89-80
SATISFACTORY The main idea is somewhat clear and some details are not placed in a
79-70 logical order. Students makes some errors in grammar/spelling and
punctuation that distracts the reader from the content.
FAIR/ NEEDS The main idea is not clear and many details are not placed in a logical
