DRONES Updated

The document is a presentation on drones prepared by Akarsh Pachayala, a 7th semester computer engineering student. It discusses drones/quadcopters, including their basic components like circuit boards, motors, batteries, and transmitters/receivers. It explains how quadcopters work using four motors that change speed and direction according to user input to control movement. Applications mentioned include news making, agriculture, delivery, and photography/videography. Advantages include saving lives, supporting law enforcement, and infrastructure maintenance, while disadvantages are safety and privacy risks.

INTRODUCTION

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) (or uncrewed

aerial vehicle, commonly known as a drone) is
an aircraft without a human pilot on board and a type
of unmanned vehicle.
 Over the last few years we have seen a massive growth in the manufacture
and sales of remote control airborne vehicles known as ‘QUADCOPTER’.
 Quadcopter is also known as a DRONE.
 These unnamed aerial vehicles have four arms and fixed pitch propellers.
 In the standard format, two propellers will spin in a clockwise direction with
the other spinning in an anticlockwise direction , allowing to fly in a
designated direction.
BASIC MATERIAL REQUIRED :-

WORKING PRINCIPLE

 Quadcopter is a device with an intense mixture of electronics ,

mechanical and mainly the principle of aviation.
Quadcopter has four motors whose speed and direction of rotation
changes acc. to user’s desire to move the device.
The rotation of motor changes as per the transmiited signal send from the
four channel transmiiter.
The signal from microcontroller goes to the ESC which in turn controls
the speed of motor.

APPLICATIONS :-

 NEWS MAKING

 AGRICULTURE

 DELIVERY

 PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOGRAPHY

 MILITARY USE
*ADVANTAGES OF DRONES :-

1 .They can save lives.

2. They can support law enforcement.
3. They can contribute to safe infrastructure maintenance an
management.
4. They can streamline agriculture management.
5. They can give media access to hard-to-reach places.
* DISADVANTAGES OF DRONES :-

1. A drone flying near you or your area , does not guarantee a saftey, it can be a
terrorist activity.

2. Drones coming in the way of passengers flight , make it quite dangerous for the
society and people.

3. Flying Drones in public area , makes it dangerous and can hurt someone . FOR E.G
