Consider each Module separately when planning the work-scope for the Engine.
The TAY 650 EMP now defines five basic work package levels

• Level 1 - Serviceability Check


Always do a level 1 work package - even if the Module is serviceable and it has
not reached its soft time. This is a minimum work-package to determine whether
the Module is serviceable and can be reinstalled in its present condition, for the
build life objective of the Engine.

• Level 2 - Check and Repair


Do a level 2 work package if the Module needs to be repaired but has not reached its
soft time.
The tasks in a level 2 work package should be done if the Module is partially
stripped for a repair.

• Level 3 - Refurbishment
Level 3 Refurbishment applies to Modules 04 and 06
Do a Level 3 work package if the Module has reached its Level 3 soft time. This
work package is to restore performance and make sure that the Module can
achieve the target build life of the engine. The Module will require disassembly
to carry out all the tasks described in the Level 03 work package.

• Level 4 - Full Overhaul


Do a Level 4 work package if the module has reached its full-life rework soft time.
A Level 4 work package means that the module will be fully stripped and
processed in accordance with the Engine Manual.
