The words pant, shorts, jeans,
gloves, shoes, etc are plural
nouns.
Adjectives describe nouns and have the same form in the
singular and in the plural.
The T-shirt is expensive. The T-shirts are expensive.

They go before nouns or after the verb to be .

This is a small house. This house is small.

 All one-syllable adjectives take ER

consonant double the consonant and take –er

 Adjectives which end in a consonant + y change the y to i and


take –er

 We form the comparative of adjectives with two,three or
more syllables with more + adjective.
