Combine each pair of sentences into a compound
sentence. Use the conjunctions and, or, but.

1. Miguel knows the answer. He is ashamed to raise his

4. Mother went to the market this morning. She bought a

Compound sentence
is made up of two independent clauses joined

Cause is the reason why something
happens.

Effect is the result when something


happens.
