STRATEGIES

•  Create a differentiated learning environment 


• Prepare thoughtful lessons backed by data based on
students’ learning style
• Tailor assignments based on students’ learning goals
•  Adjust your lesson content based on student needs
• Group students by shared interest, topic, or ability for
assignments
• Assess students’ learning using formative assessment
• Continually assess and adjust lesson content
CHALLENGES FACED BY TEACHERS

• Perceived Fairness
To overcome- Provide families with detailed
reasoning for curriculum differentiation while trying
to shift the focus away from grades in the classroom
• Placement
This can be accomplished with a simple pre-test at
the beginning of each course that allows the teacher
to see where each student stands
• Resources
This can be resolved with some preparation before
the academic year begins
