INTRODUCTION
 Seven Wonders of the world refers to remarkable
constructions made by human or nature.
 These wonders are listed by the popular guide
books. Every four years the wonders are changed
by a process of voting
 The voting for the Wonders of the World started
in 2000
 The voting process was done through telephone or
internet.
 There were millions of vote coming in for the
new 7 wonders of the world.
7 WONDERS OF MODERN
WORLD
 Wonders of the New World was announced in July 7 2007

 1. Great Wall of China (China)


 2. Petra (Jordan)

 3. Christ the Redeemer (Brazil)

 4. Machu Picchu (Peru)

 5. Chichen Itza (Mexico)

 6. Colosseum (Italy)

 7. Taj Mahal (India)


(CHINA)
 It was build in the early (1368-1644) 7th century . It was
build by Qin Shihuang, the First Emperor of China.
 It started as earth works thrown up for protection by different
states.
 The great wall is the worlds longest human made structure,
stretching over approximately 6,400 km from shanhai pass in
the east to lop Nur in, the west.
 It is also the largest human made structure that can be seen
from the moon
2. PETRA (JORDAN)
 Petra is a historical and archaeological city. It was build in
200 BC.
 It is also known as the Rose City due to the colour of the
stone out of which it is carved.
 It was famous above all for two things : its trade and its
hydraulic engineering systems.
(BRAZIL)
 Christ the Redeemer is an statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de
Janeiro, Brazil.
 It is located at the peak of the Corcovado mountain in the
Tijuca Forest. It is 38 metres tall & the arms are 28 metres
wide.
 As well as being a potent symbol of the roman catholic
church, the statue has become an icon of rio and brazil.
4. MACHU PICCHU (PERU)
 The city was built between 1460 and 1470. Machu picchu is a
mountain with a broad base & sharp end peaks .
 It is located in the Cusco Region in the district of Peru.

 Its 2,430 metres (7,970 ft) above sea level.

 It is referred to as the "Lost City of the Incas“.


5. CHICHEN ITZA (MEXICO)
 Chichen Itza is located in the eastern portion of Yucatán state
in Mexico. It was built around 800(between 550-900).
 Chichen Itza was a major economic power in the northern
Maya lowlands.
 Chichen Itza is one of the most visited archaeological sites in
Mexico; in 2007 it was estimated to receive an average of 1.2
million visitors .
6. COLOSSEUM (ITALY)
 Colosseum also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre .
 it was built from 72-80 A.D. It is situated in the centre of the
city of Rome, Italy.
 Built of concrete and stone, it was the largest amphitheatre
of the Roman Empire .
7. TAJ MAHAL (INDIA)
 The Taj Mahal is a white marble tomb located in Agra.
 It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of
his third wife, Mumtaz.
 Taj Mahal is regarded by many as the finest example of
Mughal architecture.
 The construction began around 1632 and was completed
around in 22 years, in 1653, employing thousands of artisans
and craftsmen. It is also called as the symbol of love.
CONCLUTION
After studying all the details of the wonders ,i truly believe
that each and every single one of them is a master piece of
architecture . And the world’s best amazing places.
 don't you think that these monuments are awesome ? It will
be a life time achievement to visit all the 7 wonders of the
world once in a life time.
