A smart city uses digital technologies to enhance
performance and wellbeing, to reduce costs and resource
consumption, and to engage more effectively and actively
with its citizens.
These Smart Cities have sustainable economic
development which benefits everyone,
including citizens, businesses, the government
and the environment.
WHAT IS SMART CITY:-
•  Adeveloped urban area that create sustainable economic development & high
quality of life by excelling in multiple key areas ; Economic , Mobility ,environment ,
people , living & Govt. excelling in these key areas can be done so through strong
human capital ,social capital and/or ICT infrastructure
• SMART ECONOMY:-
Smart economy includes aspects like innovation, entrepreneurship, a
flexible labor market and an international network.
• SMART PEOPLE:-
Smart people is not just about educating people in the city, but
also about social interaction, public awareness
and participation in public life.
• SMART GOVERNANCE:-
 Smart governance includes government transparency, availability of
public and social services, and citizens’ participation in decision-making.
• SMART MOBILITY:-
 Transport systems and (ICT) infrastructure are part of smart
mobility, with accessibility (both physically and digitally) playing a
major role.
• SMART ENVIRONMENT:-
Smart environment focuses on sustainable management of
resources, environmental protection and pollution issues.
• SMART LIVING:-
The final aspect (smart living) focuses on the lives of citizens,
 

including culture, health, safety, housing and social cohesion

• The concept of smart city is to integrate information and communication
technology (ICT),and various physical devices connected to the network
(the internet of things or IOT) to optimize the efficiency of city operations
and services and connect to citizens

 Automated and surveillance systems
 Efficient and time-effective communication facilities
 24*7 electricity and water supply
 Wi-fi powered living spaces
 High speed internet connectivity
 Optimal use of data analytics in every aspect of administration
 Reduced dependency of exhaustible resources
 Superior sanitization and recycling processes
 All processes powered by technology requiring minimum human intervention
